UT vs Washington Preview

Ewers is not very mobile—or perhaps better to say that whatever mobility he has, we don’t want him taking off. No one on defense is spying Ewers for scrambles. Accordingly, just like in pro ball, you use screens to combat the fast rush to the stationary pocket point. Teams with a QB who likes to take off use that as their response to over-rush, and the defense lays back a little more, making screens less useful, and allowing more time for the deep ball.
This chart just shows attempts, not successes, but I feel our 10-20 yard pass game is lethal. We always have a decent shot to make 3rd and 10, which is why we can take chances on early downs even if we get “behind the chains.”

The way Texas DB's are heading to the Portal plus the half suspension, Texas might have to convert so LB's and RB's just to field a 2 deep defensive backfield.

What is going on? Is the issue Gideon or Coach K?

Nothing is going on. These players got limited snaps, except for Derek Williams.

Can’t wait to hear Sean talk how much Ewers is better this year. Did you know Ewers cut his hair and lost weight? Also, he’s a mucher leader this year too.
And the other guarantee is every single person and unit on both teams are some of the best in the country. Most of these people just throw out one cliche after another and its painful to listen to. Whatever game Herbstreit calls is the only legit commentators that I can recall.

I'd take the over on the 64.5 point over/under. It's likely going to be a high-scoring nail biter, like our Michigan/USC Rose Bowls, where the last team with the ball wins.
Yes^^^. This game is going to drive me to drink due to the frequent scoring.
I think we will break the 40 point line; and they might too.
If Coach K dials up lots up lots of pressure, and makes it creative and disguises his blitzes, If we hold them under 40 I am extremely confident we’ll win.
I believe we will score close to 50. They will likely score mid 40’s.

Highlights from last year's Alamo Bowl vs Washington
J Brooks is so good. Is there any chance he’s back for the CFP or is he done for the year? I don’t recall what his status is.

Haven’t read the whole thread to see if this has been mentioned, but Washington will have an extra edge rusher who’ll be playing his first game for the Huskies.

Zach Durfee transferred to Washington from the mighty University of Sioux Falls, but he failed to get approval from the NCAA to play in the regular season. He has been approved to play now. He’s been practicing all year as a member of the scout team, lined up across from the first-team offense. When Kirk Herbstreit (or maybe it was Brock Huard, but I think it was Herbstreit) attended a Huskies practice and asked Kalen DeBoer what he should be looking at, DeBoer pointed at Durfee. The Washington offensive linemen say he’s one of the hardest guys on the team to block.

So this’ll give Washington a little extra depth at that position. Is he as good as DeBoer and the offensive linemen make him out to be? I guess we’ll see.

So they won’t let him play all season but will in the playoffs? Why now?

Is he kind to small children and animals?
The smaller the animals and children the kinder he becomes. By the age of three he was refusing red meat..by 4 years and seven and a half months he was vegan.
