UT vs Washington Preview

Our secondary has been badly banged up for almost all of the season. With a chance to rest and heal, we may see a much better d-backfield in this game.

It is all nonsense. Texas D shuts down the run like no other. Even Washington needs to run to make it work. I think we win but the love of wash and the doubting of us is silly.

Yep, the game is played on the field, not in the stat rankings. Let's just go show'em! :hookem:

Exactly.
If you have watched the women's volleyball you see this in action.
They have been the underdog in last 3 matches and handled business-- basically handed Wisconsin its a** on a plate when facing a 6'9", 6'5", 6'5" frontline..... They play to REPEAT as National Champs at 2 on Sunday. Hope they set the example for the Horns at Washington

Like the volleyball team, football is playing its best right now.

Tom Landry always seemed to have a knack for having the Cowboys playing their best ball in late season. We are seeing the Longhorns do just that this year as well. Let's hope this will be a characteristic of Sark's culture from now on.

As previously noted we had 4-5 starters out last year on defense. I think we played plain Jane defense for the bowl game to keep things simple. Going to be different this year.

Not to mention Bijan/Roschon.

If our pass rush is as anemic as it was against OU I think we get beat. That was the key to that game, IMO. Their OL totally neutralized our pass rush. So it can be done.

I think it's a big mistake to look at one game that a team didn't kick booty in as the recipe for victory. We positively sucked against UH so every team has a sub par game which really isn't indicative of how good a team is. If that's the only film UW looks at, well, good luck with that. Both teams will bring their A game, full of intensity. It'll come down to a handful of plays. Hopefully we make more than they do.
