Texas-Vanderbilt Game Thread

Since the CFP Committee is made up of morons, it would be important to be ranked as high as possible since they likely weigh that heavily.

To beat our O you must tackle very well in the open field. Georgia was masterful in that department.

Today: You could see our WRs and RBs regularly juking them and breaking tackles in the open field today (and all games except for Georgia).

All we have been told is any road win in the SEC! is a big win. Vandy was top 25 having its best season since Eisenhower. An ugly win should NOT drop us in the polls based on past SEC! slobber knocking the last decade.

He said GEORGIA IS GOOD, NOT GREAT!

Suspect Vandy fans likely to chant overrated after the game....
after the past few performances, they wouldn't be wrong...

Texas HAS to step it up. QE needs to get healthy. Line needs to do their damned job. We also need Bond back and healthy...

If Sark doesn’t snap out of it, Aggy is going to be in the playoffs instead of us.
I don’t think Sark allowed the defender to slip through the o line twice, tipping two passes that somehow found their way into the hands of a Vandy defender.

Well, all I can say is we won. But we got issues. I saw nothing in these last two games that makes me think we can contend for a NC. I hate to pile on but I'm not sold on Ewers any more. He might do great in the NFL, but I just don't think he's a baller. On offense, we're playing 10 vs 11 on every play.
He'll carry a mean clipboard but he won't be picked in the first three rounds. His lack of mobility has been exposed. But Sark will stick with him even though it hurts the team...

I guess I didn't fully realize the extent of the horror that is SEC Network announcers.

The combination of the intensity and the duration of the onanistic frenzy that occurred every time Pavia showed up on the screen made me worry for the safety of those guy's members.

Awful.

I guess I trust in Sark more than you. I don’t think he’ll lay blame on the O-line. He’s more of a “ buck stops with me” kinda Coach and he’ll correct the O-line, and all other aspects. If not, we’re in trouble imo.

Scouts still have him as the #4 qb. in this draft....so...

He said in the post game interview on the field that Texas played with poise.

Um, really?

This team sucks right now
Ewers look like an old lady out there
No offense to mobile old ladies
I'm an old lady and I'm pretty sure I move better than Ewers, or did back in the day, LOL. He's not exciting to watch, rarely runs and doesn't usually throw on the run ... so Pavia gets all the chatter because he's more fun to watch. Our play calling seemed predictable to me, Vandy wasn't surprised, just out out muscled and too slow often enough for us to score, phew.
