Schaub to Houston/Carr gone

The Texans have had the first pick in the draft TWICE, when the best player available at a premium position was glaringly obvious to anyone with two eyes and a brain. They blew it both times. That never stops being funny.

And why didnt you just name Vince Young in your post? Now the Titans fans on this board will become more insufferable because we are going to get to rub it in your face as well when Vince rips the league a new *******. Enjoy!

texans threads are guaranteed 5 pages because they are the new york yankees of the nfl. i bet clippers boards can't even get 5 pages for a thread about them resurrecting wilt chamberlain and signing him to a multiyear contract.
schaub will be a 10+ time pro bowler and the texans will make the playoffs next year, but lose in the first round. after that, it's a 2 to 3 year lombardi streak and 7 out of 10. mark it down, dumbasses.

I think this is a good trade and I think the majority of you that think otherwise either:
1) Have always hated the Texans
2) Hate the Texans because they passed on VY
3) Don't know **** about football

If you were to ask the other 30 GMs (excluding ATL & HOU) who is the best QB in the NFL w/out a starting job, Shaub's name would come up plenty. And I guaran-damn-tee you they would have ranked him over Romo at this time last year. Like ChrisforHeisman has pointed out, sometimes the only thing keeping a QB as an unknown is his lack of playing time.

I'm still irritated as Hell that we didn't take VY, but you need to base this decision on what is, not what could be. The rumor a few weeks ago was that we were looking to trade down to get Brady Quinn. At the very least it looks like that was BS - thank God. The smart move is to take the 2nd best OL this year (J.Thomas will be long gone) and that guy (Levi?) will probably just as likely be there at 12, as he would have 10. If not, take the best Safety (Landry).

The Texans must be run by the same brain trust that ran the Indian organization in the movie Major League.

Flashback to a year ago in the Texan's war room on draft day..."let's see fellas...we could get that Vince fella from down in Austin or wait a season and give up way too much for Vick's backup down in Atlanta, all while alienating our fan base. Sounds like a no-brainer to me."

schaub is considered by many nfl gm's to be better than eli manning, a former #1 overall. one gm called him "a born leader" and another said of him, "he brings the lunch pail". deride him all you want, but he's apparently very well thought of. and then there is this:

"matt schaub is a terrific kid" - john gruden (april 20, 06)

This board was a lot better when all you cornholes "didn't give a **** about the prima-donna NFL, all I ******* care about is Longhorn footballl"...

aggy? are you talking to me, a horn?
cause if you're talking to me, refute my concrete facts.

the texans have invested in schwabb, and definitely weighed the risk / reward before pulling the trigger.
the texans got themselves a good player here.

nothing is more "aggy" than cherry picking "stats" or putting together a chain of events that connect some bs timeline of events to make a case against the Texans.

Let's see, fact the Texans could of drafted Peppers in 2002
fact the Texans could of drafted VY in 2006

NOT A FACT AT ALL THAT THEY COULD OF HAD BOTH.
things would of gone different for the Texans if they drafted Peppers and the odds are very, very good they never would of had the number 1 pick last season.

I guess they are pretty stupid for not drafting Colston in the 6th round right?

I am a native Houstonian who is a Houston fan for life, just because someone is a longhorn and does not get drafted by my team does not make me (and fyi many others) jump ship.

All you bandwagon fans will jump on board either when the Texans win or Vince retires or one of the titans db's caps someone in the head.

I like 99% of longhorns wish the Texans could go back in time and draft VY but they cant so go Mario and go Matt and any other Texan player.

Chris, I don't see why you bother. Some of the good members on here will discuss honestly their feelings on Texans, Cowboys or other NFL news when there is little longhorn talk going on others are just being "trolling" or "being a douch" or whatever you want to call it. My point don't take the bait.

The Texans have ****** up many times in their short history but that does not mean the current GM and current qb can't get it done or wont. Only time will tell.
