Post-Trump GOP

A Democrat complaining about a slap in the face to rank and file cops, taking on China, and bitching about Benghazi after the Russian collusion fiasco is truly ridiculous and laughable. GYSOT.

He's not wrong. Equal R and D representation. Not a whole lot of Bi-Partisan legislation these days but this is it. This demonstrates that Benghazi, Blue Lives Matter...all just charades. They're the right's version social of virtue signaling, nothing more than a political statement against those they disagree with.

Wait Bubba and Husker are posting today? May I direct you to the Biden Accountability thread for your praise of Biden’s accomplishments? Inquiring minds want to know how you feel he is doing.

He could **** gold and you guys would ***** about it. He’s driving down the middle. Pissing off the right and the far left. Seems boring.

I’m sure a natural gas pipeline in the Baltic Sea is all the rage over there.

I think they should support the 1/6 Commission, but if your party has spent a year taking a dump on the police, criticizing the GOP for not taking the side of police officers one time rings pretty hollow. It's like David Duke calling out Rashida Tlaib for being antisemitic. He wouldn't necessarily be wrong, but he doesn't exactly have the credibility to give her a hard time about it.

It's hard to hold a conversation when you put words in my mouth. I'm saying... For maybe the 12th time... What ACTUALLY HAPPENED is far from being reported. You're twisting that thought into "no force was used, you say"

Did I put words into your mouth? You said, "Force? With what weapons?" Call me crazy, but to me, that suggests that you're denying or at least very strongly doubting that force was used. If you want to clarify that comment, that's fine, but I don't think I'm unreasonable to draw the inference that I did.

Also, what I'm really asking you to do is to give your own version of what happened and state the factual basis for it. You basically dimiss everything I say as "misinformation," and if I have this so wrong, then surely you should have it right and can show what actually occured.

If any of them put hands on a cop they should pay a price, agree? What most of those protesters did on January 6 was no more aggregious than the summer rioters actions. One of those groups were being bailed out of jail by the current VPs efforts. The other group is being "hunted down like 9-11 terrorists " as msnbc , cnn talkies gleefully say

Two points on this. First, the summer rioters didn't try to overturn an election. I am not saying that to diminish what they did. They did terrible things and one side and virtually all of the political media cheered them on. They celebrated violence. However, the actions were not the same.

Second, we don't like what the summer rioters did. I'm not a fan of the "they're screwed up, so that means we get to be screwed up" mentality. Imitating the summer rioters is a bad thing. We should endorse respecting the rule of law, not extra-judicial election tampering.

Two sets of rules. Cities burned. Cops shot, LOEs killed (not by a stroke, by firearm). Etc. . The 2 sets of rules for rioters and the MISINFORMATION is too much

You may just be too caught up in the politics to have a serious discussion about this. I don't disagree with you. The media does have a double standard, obviously, but that has nothing to do with how WE should look at the capitol rioters.

The problem is that he ****’s his pants, and it’s not gold. If he is driving down the middle, it’s the wrong way on a one way street.

It is not on the first two pages of my available content.

I think I don’t see threads started by users that I have on ignore. Sanity, it’s your friend.

Let's cut to the chase. What weapons were confiscated from those entering the Capitol bldg? Do you know?

And, for the zillionth time, I don't condone the protesters that went into the bldg. But please list the weapons that were confiscated. Originally we heard a stun gun was taken but that turns out to be BS

Even more vids released showing Police allowed people into Cspitol.
The one I saw showed Police moving barriers to allow people to enter,
Not exactly people "forcing ".

If people think that the "insurrection" with a bunch of idiots without weapons was worse than Seattle's takeover of several city blocks by armed terrorists for several weeks then you're in need of a reality check.

Confiscated? Seriously? Was there AN arrest day of?

Reminded me of this clip: bank robbing? bank robbing's babyshit alongside what this dude's doin.

A joint session of Congress had to be shut down and the participants evacuated. They were worried for the life of the F'n Vice President. Yeah, no biggie.

I didn't say it was no biggie but the drama over it is ridiculous compared to what we saw from lefty terrorists during the summer.

Yeah, what Antifa did was waaaay worse. Murdered dozens of people and caused a billion dollars of property damage.

I don't think that's cutting to the chase. I can point to many reports of weapons being confiscated or used, but I suspect that you'll dismiss all that as "misinformation." But I'll play along to a point. Jon Ray Schaffer has pled guilty to obstruction of an official proceeding and entering and remaining in a restricted building with a dangerous or deadly weapon. I think the weapon was bear spray. Link. Here's another report about a dude carrying a gun and a car found with Molotov cocktails, and it refers to video showing clubs, flagpoles, and police shields being used as weapons. Link. And of course, these are from the Washington Times, not a left-wing source.

But again, this is a diversion. If it'll take you off this side-issue, I'll concede that no weapons were found or used. I don't think that's true, but I'll concede it if you want. It doesn't change anything. They still trespassed, and they still tried to disrupt the process. That's why it's bad. How they did it is really beside the point.

That's certainly arguable. I'm not saying what the Capitol rioters did was worse. That's a matter of opinion. I'm saying that it's different and invokes different issues, concerns, and frankly, jurisdictions.

I'll play off of horn2run here a little. Please list the dozens of people murdered. I find one. Now, admittedly, my research was real quick and dirty.

That said, I found this too. I'm sure you'll disagree with the assessment. Here's the twitter version. Since 1994: 329 murders linked to the far right, 21 deaths linked to "left wing violence", and Jihadist responsible for 95 since 2010.

Trump frequently accuses the far-left of inciting violence, yet right-wing extremists have killed 329 victims in the last 25 years, while antifa members haven't killed any, according to a new study

Of note, the key antifa murder over the last year was shortly after this was published in August of 2020. So, as far as I can tell, "antifa" has murdered the same number of people that Derek Chauvion has murdered (and yes, that was somewhat of a red herring :) )

Patriots! Thin Blue Line! MAGA! USA! USA! Pathetic that anyone who facilitated $7,000,000 doing 4 years of investigations into Benghazi would not facilitate a bipartisan investigation into this treasonous hot mess.

I have seen at least 2 videos of Antifa murdering someone on the street. So it isn't 0 or 1 for sure.

Bear spray? (lions and tigers and bears) OH MY! :)

No weapons found inside the bldg. Doesn't sound like much of an "insurrection" to me. Just being honest.

Hockeysticks, crutches, flagsticks, assorted projectiles are not weapons.

We know of the Antifa dude that shot someone in Portland that ended up getting shot by FBI (shooting themselves?) in Lacy, WA. Who else? "Antifa" is a pretty broad category, not unlike "terrorist" since there isn't any sort of registration of members.

You like to ask for details. Please provide the number of protesters arrested inside the Capitol building on 1/6...

Capitol Breach Cases

There were no arrests on 1/6. There appear to have been 4 arrests on 1/7. Two of them (50%) involved firearms charges.

Many in these cases have walked. But you already knew that I bet. Those charged on "weapons charges" that were inside the bldg were detailed in last weeks epoch times.

No firearms were found in the bldg

One shot was fired. Some coward shot an unarmed woman,, then slithered back to safety. A beat cop has wayyyy more courage than that POS

The firearms charges were placed on people outside the bldg, right? One was interviewed, said he had his for protection given BLM and antifa's recent violence in protests (such as the Trump supporter gunned down in Portland during a rally)

So I'll return your "weak sauce" comment :)

The most amazing accomplishment of Donald J. Trump was to get his supporters to ignore what they see and hear from any source other than the ones pushing his propaganda. He's the true personification of a Jedi.

That, and the booming economy, better handle of the border, peace in the Middle East, better trade agreements in favor of OUR country, lowest unemployment for minorities in our history , etc etc

Thanks for bringing it up finally
