Post-Trump GOP

Bear spray? (lions and tigers and bears) OH MY! :)

No weapons found inside the bldg. Doesn't sound like much of an "insurrection" to me. Just being honest.

Supposedly some bats and fire extinguishers were used. :rolleyes1: One cop was supposedly killed but we found out he wasn't so I'm weary of anything I read or hear.

At least I can say the Antifa people were smarter than the capitol rioters. If you want to do a real insurrection you bring guns.

You stated that they found no guns. You are right partially as they arrested almost no one on 1/6/21. However, this would be Exhibit A. This is still an active case.

"At the time, ALBERTS was also wearing a bullet-proof vest and carrying a backpack. At that point, I told two MPD officers next to him that ALBERTS had a firearm on his person. ALBERTS, apparently hearing that, immediately tried to flee, but I was able to detain him with the help of two other officers. A black Taurus G2C 9mm (Serial#AAL085515) was recovered from D-1’s right hip. Additionally, a separate magazine was located on D-1’s left hip. Both the gun and the spare magazine were in held in two separate holsters. The handgun had one round in the chamber with a twelve round capacity magazine filled with twelve rounds; the spare magazine also had a twelve round capacity and was filled with twelve rounds. MPD Officers also seized a gas-mask from the defendant’s person as well as the defendant’s backpack containing a pocketknife, one packaged military meal-ready to eat (MRE), and one first-aid medical kit."

Exhibit B - molitov cocktails. Nice!

Follow up... many here are charged with "parading". Please explain.... I lmao at that
I think that's those walking through the rotunda chanting "Hang Pence" and "USA!"

Those charges look to me like consequences of poor decisions. Cleveland Meredith is gonna learn a lesson about talking **** while on testosterone and gummies and bringing assassination materials to DC after threatening to kill Nancy P.

I'm not minimizing anything, but it has to be said... If that bunch really wanted to kill (name a name.. any name) they had the chance. "Force by numbers" or some **** like that. A group that size would have easily killed anyone they wanted

But they didn't. A coward killed an unarmed woman, that was the only murder that day

They evacuated everyone before they had a chance. It was close. We should all be saddened to think about what would have happened if they would have found Pelosi, Pence or AOC.

For those in the hallway trying to get to the Congresspeople at the other end, that unfortunate act certainly changed their direction. Until that gunshot they were breaking doors/windows and were finally stepping through a broken window to get direct access to the fleeing politicians. That gunshot literally stopped them in their tracks no different than the other officer that distracted and led the mob away from the Senate chamber. It seems you are only measuring the impact of the insurrection by it's effectiveness. That's like saying the bank robber shouldn't be charged because he didn't actually walk out of the bank with any money. That's irrational.

A little change of pace...

Anthony Bouchard, Lead Primary Challenger to Liz Cheney, admits he impregnated then married a 14yr old girl when he was 18. They divorce 3yrs later, she commits suicide some time afterward then Bouchard blames "dirty politics" for exposing it. You know...this was a Romeo and Juliet story. Alas, I suspect his Jedi skills are much less proficient than DJT.

“It’s amazing that they look at things so negatively. So bottom line is it’s a story when I was young, two teenagers, girl gets pregnant,” Bouchard said. “You’ve heard those stories before. She was a little younger than me, so it’s like the Romeo and Juliet story.”

That, and the booming economy, better handle of the border, peace in the Middle East, better trade agreements in favor of OUR country, lowest unemployment for minorities in our history , etc etc

Thanks for bringing it up finally

I said the "most amazing accomplishment". Yes, there are other accomplishments I'm certain you and I would dicker of those and the POTUS claimed influence.

Perhaps, but Roy Moore's Jedi skills were good enough to win a primary.

Which is a direct indictment on the Republican R primary voters in Alabama. Of course I'm sure there are similar indictments against voters of all political parties. Nobody has been effective as DJT though in developing their own political echo chamber.

Pssst. There were multiple officers armed with rifles within 10 feet of Ashley babbitt when the coward gunned her down. They didn't see a need to murder her

Here is a view not too disimilar to what Ashley Babbitt saw before she climbed through the window. 2 Doors barricaded with chairs on the opposite side, 2 cops trying to reason with the crowd reaching past them to break the windows, a crowd screaming to let them through. At the end of that hall you can see Congress and aids walking past to a stairwell that gets them to safety. Some in this crowd had already assaulted officers on their way to this point. They were all lucky that the first to shoot was this officer. You haven't offered a solution on how anyone was supposed to stop the advancing mob. Might you have agreed with them, underlying your defense of their actions?

Based on what I've seen, I wouldn't call this officer the "coward" but if you had to label some it would be the ones that opened barriers, let them in the doors, stood against the walls as the crowd passed by. That's an abdication of duty, not defending the CongressPeople from a crowd that must have echoed screaming "Hang Mike Pence". You know...these people:

I believe the Capitol event is known as a “mostly peaceful protest” and a block party if you’re in Seattle. Of course, police officers actually died in those events and the Libs bailed the offending parties out of jail, or just let them walk.

He should have shot her in the arm or leg...no? According to the left, deadly force is unnecessary unless it's an unarmed white woman.

I agree that would have been more appropriate. Then again, he may have been aiming for her legs. Climbing through the window her legs were in front of her torso in a crouching position. At this point we don't know.

But we do know it was deadly force on an unarmed white woman. Where's the outrage?

Last year in the Lincoln Project:

Bardella, a frequent MSNBC guest, quit the Lincoln Project and called for it to shut down in February after the anti-Trump organization crumbled over allegations of covering up co-founder John Weaver's online sexual harassment of young, gay men, questions about self-dealing and questionable finances, and reports of a toxic work environment.

Not surprising at all.

questions about self-dealing and questionable finances

Pretty much expected from liberal organizations...see BLM

reports of a toxic work environment.

That's what you get when you constantly try to one up everyone in your wokeness. It really becomes a cat fight and no one really understands what they should believe in.

They are a group of conservatives who are anti Trump and the current direction of the GOP. I don't think Biden wins that election without them.

When you can't win an election without the support of an organization being led by a homosexual pedophile, and that commits financial fraud, you may want to reconsider what you are doing and of whom your voters consist.

Who's running the Lincoln Project now?

Good question. Many of the original founders are gone. Weaver for obvious reasons but Steve Schmidt and other "advisers" also jumped ship after the election. I chuckle at the thought of some creative dude sitting alone in the office spitting out videos.

What's crazy is that their platform now arguably reaches more people than Trump.
