Our next OC and DC

When I say Strong 2.0, I mean he is a coach that is a great DC but is not head coach material. I thought for sure everyone would understand what I meant but calling him Strong 2.0 How about David McWilliams 2.0, or Gene Chizik 2.0.

A failed head coach who is in his element as a coordinator.

A better analogy would be Will Muschamp. Great DC and a failure as an HC.

Gene Chizik won a national title, so I laugh every time people call him a "failed head coach". If you win a natty, you were not a failure. In fact, if there ever was a cesspool where a coach did not get support and had everyone working actively against him, it was Auburn.. and Chizik won a title anyway.

Mack n chizik won natties with those “once in a lifetime players”.

The guy was with Holgerson at WVU and Third Ward. Not a Holgerson fan, so I'll reserve judgement other than to wonder if we couldn't have done better.

I dont know if this was their proposal or something from Yurcich. As mentioned, he is a Holgo guy, I dont think think Carrier and Yurcich have worked together before. And I dont think he's been offered the job. But it is a name that has come up with regard to our program before (last winter). Also he is supposed to be a good recruiter, esp in the Houston area where he is from
We will see

In 2018, Carrier was named Football Scoop’s Receivers Coach of the Year as he helped lead a Mountaineer offense that eclipsed the 500-yard and 40-point marks eight times during the season including 704 yards and 56 points vs. Oklahoma.

Carrier's pupils, David Sills V and Gary Jennings Jr. formed one of the nation's most dangerous tandems as the two were part of only five players nationally with at least 13 receiving touchdowns.

Sills caught a team-high 65 passes for 986 yards and 15 touchdowns, one off from the national lead, while Jennings caught 54 passes for 917 yards and 13 scores in 11 appearances.

In addition to Sills and Jennings, junior Marcus Simms caught 46 passes for 699 yards and two scores, sophomore TJ Simmons snared 22 receptions for 277 yards and one score, while senior Dominique Maiden caught eight passes for 130 yards and a score.

West Virginia was only one yard shy of joining Alabama and Hawai’i as the only teams to boast three 700-yard receivers.

More quotes from 2020 signees Kitan Crawford and Vernon Broughton on Ash. They are at the Under Armour All-America Game - which is Thurs Jan 2.

Vernon Broughton an EE --
"I have talked to him on the phone. He's a good dude. Since we run the four-front, it's going to be great, I just have to get better.
"He (Ash) said I can play everywhere, I just need to come in and work my butt off
"Basically if you treat me right, I'll treat you right and I'll get better either way."
"I get to campus January 15th or 16th, that's when I get in the dorm. I'm going to try to fight for the starting spot and work my behind off."
Kitan Crawford not an EE --
"I texted him and contacted him the first day he got there and had a conversation with him. It was mainly getting to know each other and just talking about him getting there and getting to meet him."
"I saw some things about him in the media but not really. I saw his background, everybody was putting it out,"
"I wasn't that close to him (Orlando), I was mainly close to my DBs coach, Coach Washington. I've got a bond with him. Me and him go way back. We have a connection. I really didn't know the defensive coordinator -- I mean I know him -- we just didn't have a relationship."

At least Ash wont have to worry about this guy next season

Joe Burrow's stat line
371/478 (77.6%)
5208 yards
55 TD/6 INT

Yeesh
If Burrows isn’t the #1 overall pick than the NFL is populated by know-it-all, wannabe coach owners. Oh wait. I forgot. Jerrah.

Never mind.

How many of the overwhelmingly unknowledgeable would put him on the bench in favor of Fields?

That whiney little ***** is destined to get Ohio StTe in trouble or be a cancer before it’s over.

The other name Ive seen mentioned as a WR coach candidate is Andre Coleman. He has some NFL experience and also worked under Bill Snyder

Those are the kind of players aOSU attracts. Remember they wanted Evans really badly after Bijan jilted them for making him silently commit under pressure.

I think burrow deserves to be considered to be the 2nd best college QB of all time. And he will be a much more successful QB at the pro level than VY. LSU will mop up the sons of Clem. And cover the spread what ever that is. Thank goodness Burrow has used up his eligibility.

I will go with D'Eric King as the next LSU QB right now on the record.
