Ok and sell the uniforms. I will proudly wear my burnt orange slacks to work. (you can't hardly find them)

And theme from "Frozen".Since all media of the LHB belongs to the school, I suggest that we play current bands recording of The Eyes and then use older recordings of the Snowflake Band of the Southwest for: Texas Fight, Deep in the Heart of Texas, The Walbash Cannonball and the Fight Song.
That ought to piss them off enough.
Love it. I meant no offense or disrespect to the Alumni Band.Y’all have inspired me. Check out the new thread title.
So I guess the good guys won, truth prevailed over lies, and the (formerly) snowflake band will play The Eyes of Texas again.
I would prefer the yellow rose of texas as the state song
would also like to hear the band play Jalisco, which is the most stirring fight song around. I went to texas a & I for a year before transferring to UT and it is their fight song and is great.
also, it is in spanish and given the demographic trends around our state we ought to take advantage of that heritage, which is kickazz in the extreme.
Did I mention that the band's uniforms look like they were designed by the guy Dom DeLuise played in Blazing Saddles?

I'm done with the band, they've ruined it for me. I'm all in on music being pumped in now. Looking forward to the Rice band making fun of them...
Not official yet. But read between the lines. With these sorts of findings, there's almost no way The Eyes won't be back, with the band, next year. They've taken away all the arrows in the detractors' quiver. The official report will be issued tomorrow.
A University of Texas Report Will Find That ‘The Eyes of Texas’ Has “No Racist Intent”
"School administrators have already said “The Eyes” is staying."
‘Eyes’ committee report will challenge public narrative
For example, it’s widely believed that the phrase “The Eyes of Texas are upon you” is a spin on an old phrase coined by Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee after he became a university president in the 1860s.
“We cannot find evidence of that,” said Dr. Richard Reddick, the committee chairman and associate dean in the UT College of Education.
Jalisco? No. Oh Hell no!I would prefer the yellow rose of texas as the state song

Amen to that, brother! I love that fight song too.would also like to hear the band play Jalisco, which is the most stirring fight song around. I went to texas a & I for a year before transferring to UT and it is their fight song and is great.
Not sure what you mean by "kiss their *** up one cheek and down the other"? Did you mean kick? Is that in reference to musically? Entertainment value?? I love the M.O.B.- but that is about as woke a group of musicians as you are going to find in the state of TX.The Rice band would kiss their *** up one cheek and down the other. Just replace the Band with a MP3 file, and use their seats for $5 Randal's Stampede Zone tickets.
I also think it's time to take a hard look at the band director. Scott Hanna who leads LHB isn't a Longhorn. He is a LSU Tiger. There has to be plenty of qualified directors who spent their time, blood, sweat and tears on the 40 acres. Get us a damn Longhorn leading our band!
Fair enough. I just looked and both a Masters and Doctorate from UT. I've met Dr Hanna and he is very cordial and personable. But man I didn't see the leadership I expected through this saga last year.Hanna got his Doctorate at UT so he actually is a Longhorn.

4th floor, you have the wrong song.
It's racist. I hearby renounce my Masters degree. That's right. I had forgotten he did his Masters (is that racist?) at UT.........
It's racist. I hearby renounce my Masters degree.
Sept. 4, 2016 before Notre Dame game!
If this does not FIRE YOU UP - turn in your Longhorn Card !!!

Listened to Jalisco. Ranking it with "Texas Fight" and Michigan & ND fight songs for me is like mentioning "Dive Bar" scotch with Johnny Walker Blue in the same breath. To each their own.I would prefer the yellow rose of texas as the state song
