2024/25 Portal Transfers

Ok. Lucy, you got some 'splainin' to do.

So is it true our punter is transferring and we have to use a back-up for the playoffs? Or can our incoming punter play in the January playoff games?

Ratliff was the back up punter and never saw the field.
Michael Kern is our punter and will punt in all remaining games.

But back to the original question, is there the possibility that you can lose your player in December but use his transfer replacement in January if he enrolls?

Generally the “student-athlete” needs to be enrolled and going to class. Thus, in the past, bowl season ended before the spring semester began. However, for the new CFP final, it most likely crosses over into the new semester.

You also have a conundrum of players who are portalling to another school but still playing in the CFP final. A player could already be enrolled in another school but playing in the CFP final for the old school.
