Not venom. Just truth. His prior 2 starts, he gave up 7 earned runs in 6 innings. He was hit as hard last night as he was in the prior 2. There are better options than max for us

I’ve already disproven your “truth” with facts. We’re not talking about prior starts, but if we were, you realize those were starts coming off injury, right? He struggled just like Eovaldi did in his starts coming off injury. How many earned runs did Scherzer give up in Game 3? Zero. He’s giving all he’s got and last night delivered 3 scoreless frames for the good guys. For you to rag on him for that is weak.

What Jung did on that rocket off max to end the inning was gold glove stuff. Can't get any better than that. Much tougher than camping under a fly ball.

Mlb network guys just said Haeney "probably " starts. If Haeney/Dunning can get us to the 7th, sborz, Chapman, leclerc are lined up.

If the Rs win (up 3 to 1) that leaves little from the staff for game 5 if bochy sits Monty, Evo for Arlington. Gray really shouldn't pitch until g6 or g7, and he's good for 3 or 4 innings to finish out g6 or 7. Do you sacrifice g5 when you're up 3 to 1, loading up for g6,7? Or pitch Evo in g6?

Yep, great play by Jung. Good pitchers trust the defense behind them, be it a barehanded ricochet or lazy fly ball, an out is an out. Getting nine of those without giving up a single run is no small feat.

You have thought out the possible scenarios well grasshopper. This is why Bochy has the resume for these kinds of decisions and is getting paid the big bucks.

If it were me, I'd sacrifice game 5, if, IF the Rangers take a 3-1 lead. Load up for game 6, pitch Evo with Gray available and rested if needed. Monty game 7 - I think he may need the most arm rest right now.

My biggest concern today is Garcia being out of the lineup tonight. AZ will pitch us different.

Have not heard the Garcia injury diagnosis or his possible return to the lineup - if at all. Anyone got an update?
