World series

Hard to believe the Rangers did it, especially in a season where they were picked to finish 4th in their own division by most.

Any of you all going to the parade?
Nope. Channel 5 News reported that the AISD is cancelling classes tomorrow so students can go to the parade. City official was interviewed and said they're expecting a crowd of about 100,00. Parking will be a disaster. Channel 5 will televise the parade, so I'll just watch from home.

Fox Sports 1 is replaying game 5 tonight. Started at 9:30 so plenty of time to re-watch while enjoying without the stress and taste the eventual and magnificent 5-0 vicktree!!!

I'm watching again and recording it - should have done it last night.

Unfortunately, there are still commercials :(

It's better than what I have to deal with. Since I'm outside the blackout region (which is enormous), I can watch on MLB.tv (with a paid subscription, of course). During commercial breaks, they show short baseball history stories and commentaries. Sounds cool, but they don't change them out, so I've seen each of them hundreds of times. I can almost quote then verbatim. Lol

Late posting, but better now than never.

Tuesday, the 31st, my son comes home and asks if I want to go the Ranger's Watch Party at Globe Life. Sure. Tickets were $10.00 and free parking.

The wife, son and I went to the Party and had a great time. (Helped that the Ranger's won). Sat in section 205 and watched the game on the Jumbo-Tron thing. I was craving ice cream and bought a pint of Blue Bell which cost more than the ticket.

Game and atmosphere were great. Leaving the stadium, not so much. No Arlington PD directing traffic or controlling those who imbibed too much. One woman was passing around a Champagne bottle in the parking lot. Classy.

Took us an hour to get out of the parking lot. Thanks, APD.

I was reminded to post this as my Rangers World Series Champions polo just came in the mail. Very Nice.
