where is greggo?

Milligan was quiet during the non-sports stuff, but when it turned to the World Series stuff or NFL Boulevard, guy wouldn't shut the **** up. And his prepared jokes were terrible. As stated above, very SportsCenter-ish. No response from Rhynes or Corby. You could tell Danny was totally defeated by it. He wasn't his usual self.

If the Hardline wanted a no-talent attorney hack on there, they should have asked me. I'd be a hell of a lot better.

If the job ever opened, it would be K-Scott's. No doubt. But I'm expecting Greggy back.

Ok, right, sometimes he wouldn't shut up, and then sometimes he would stay quiet for an entire segment. Clearly, there was no chemistry between him and the regular crew. I agree with the notion that Danny was beaten by him, and the non-laughter filled silence after his lame jokes was painful.

Rhynes reiterated that Greggo is taking time off for personal reasons and there is no timeline for his return.

He also said that any rumors that the Hardline was bringing in somebody from a different port to fill in for Greggo is patently false.

Anybody know what the rumor was?

only topic in the world that i have some inside scoop on. Greggo will be gone a long time, and it is unlikely he will be back. That's what my little birdie told me.

Apparently the Little Ball of Hate, Jen Engel is available.

Whatever the deal is with Greggo, hope he gets better or gets through whatever issue it is that he is dealing with.

That rumor about bringing in a SF guy is dumb. Way too many logical replacements from The Ticket, starting with Kevin Scott.

One of the things that makes the Ticket so good is that once they decide a host or staff member isn't working, they get rid of him. Skip Bayless, gone. Rocco, gone. Chris Arnold, gone. GenX Davey, gone. Dick Hunter, gone.

During a recent anniversary broadcast, Rhyner talked some about the station's origins. Evidently he was one of the founders, along with some local financier. After it was established, they sold it to their first corporate owner (Susquhannah?) and Rhyner made a killing. I don't know if Greggo had an equity stake, but I think Dunham & Miller had one (small), and so made some money as well.

Maybe it's the nose candy or something. All I know is the dude has lost a LOT of weight.

Whatever it is, I hope he's okay too. I miss having him on the show.

also TV Tim Matthews, Curt Menafee, The Sports Princess, and Dale Hansen. gone gone gone gone ...though some of those may have left on their own accord, I'm not sure

I agree with those who have said Greggo is the most expendible on air personality. Before he left he was almost impossible to understand. Sounded like he needed to take some nasal decongestant.

I'd prefer to see K-Scott rather than some out of town person replace him.

I remember there were several times in the months leading to Greggo's rehab stint that he would just zone out of the conversation, and re-enter obviously not knowing what they were talking about. They would laugh, and have a replay on "Fun With Real Audio". I imagine instances like that get noticed now.

^^^^

The best was last year on the show right before the Christmas dry dock. Corby was talking about his plans, then turns to Greg and says something like, "Don't you get all Cowboy'ed up in Colorado and go to a sports bar to watch the Cowboys?" There's silence, then Greggo says, "Who me? I'm gonna be in Colorado."

The place erupted. Rhynes threw out the big time "WOW!!"

I'm sure today we will hear the following:

I have a name for my penis.

DOONEY DA PRIEST

^^^^ This is typical characteristics of a person that is on meds...particularly Vicodin which weeks later Greggo admitted to.

FYI GenX Davey has a nice little day job that he would have to quit.

in the star telegram this weekend, there was a note that he would be back, but they wouldn't speculate when. It quoted someone from the station, but I'm too drunk to remember who
