where is greggo?

I love BaD radio. I agree that Dan is not for everyone. He's not my favorite, but he can bring it every now and then.

Rex, thanks for pwning me or whatever, but trust me, I listen plenty and must be missing these George Dejohn bits lately. Although, most other posters seem to agree that it's been a while. Regardless, congrats on being on the pulse of the metroplex's listening tastes, but I would tend to think that the Hardline and the Musers are in the most listened to time slots because they are A) Greatness and B) they have been with the station since day 1.

I bet when Rhynes and Greggo retire the Hardline, that you see the BaD Radio boys join Corby during afternoon drive time.

OK, so we all agree that Gordon Keith sucks **** through a straw, right? EXCELLENT!

Like the guy above, I was also a P1 from Day 1, then I moved away from Dallas in 1996 and just moved back last year. It is not the same Ticket. The single biggest difference between now and then was that back then they had some folks who really knew college football, in particular Chuck Cooperstein. But since he was a hardcore sports guy, I'm sure he felt like a square peg surrounded by a bunch a roundholes.

Today I actually change the station when the guys on D&M or the Hardline start talking college football, because they don't know crap. My wife knows more about what is going on in college football than these guys.

Aside from that and Gordon Keith, it's mostly fairly entertaining during those precious mintues between commercial breaks.

Gordo and Corby as yuck monkeys make the Ticket what it is....without characters like them I think the whole thing goes to hell. They are trying to integrate (no pun intended) Donovan as another yuck monkey to carry on the formula.

Norm is by far the most knowledgeable sports guy on the show, and for that he gets my respect, but is there any bigger beating than listening to him try to do a "bit" like the Bob's Steak and Chophouse "Mis-steak" of the week.

I think many people forget or just do not understand what The Ticket provides to the human person being. If only every other city could duplicate what they offer.

I spend many, many weeks away from Dallas, but get to tune in regularly (thank you rogue IT guy and Windows Media on BlackJack) It is sometimes very hard to pick up on what has been going on if you miss just one day. As my wife puts it; this is a soap opera that has infested quite a few people's lives; including me, my friends, and people in my neighborhood. The hardest part is living near some of these guys on the shows, (SOMO for the uppity) seeing them on a regular basis, and kind of keeping a distance. You feel like you know some of these guys; they are technically your neighbors. I tend to keep my distance. Maybe we do, maybe we don't, but I will show my piece and give the knowing nod on occasion. Sometimes we forget these just are people. Of course the arguement arises--"If they wanted to keep their privacy they should not have gotten into this busines". They did happen to catch a fancy with the public, but I do think they are just trying to make a living like the rest of us.

Anyway, I cannot think of a greater organization of characters than what has been assembled on The Ticket. Like I said, I spend many weeks out of the Dallas area and I always tune into what the local sports stations have to offer when I travel. Well my friends, it's a tough thing.

Many times I am thrown the likes of Collin Cowherd, Jim Rhome, JT The Brick, and your local sports "personalitlies". Nothing could be furhter from the truth when it comes to "personality". Two weeks ago, in Houston ( I like Houston so let's not get into Dallas vs. Houston) I was treated to the expected debate and tremblings of whether Vince was goiing to start againts the Texans. Wow! What great radio for the 3 days I was there. Should be an immediate punch-out. This week I am treated to Tavaris Jackson talk and the problems with the Wild now that they lost their first game. Thank god for 89.3 The Current (You should check it out indie fans). I can't wait for what is in store for me in Seattle next week!

Just be happy with what you have. Long live Rant and Little Girl Greggo. Hurry back soon.

BaD Radio is for exactly who they claim to be for...

The playstaion playing, pot smoking crowd...and those of us that used to be.
Dan is genius

Dan sucks and makes me want to punch him in the mouth about 90% of the time. I can actually listen to the show (sometimes) now that they've brought in Donovan. But Dan is a ******* beating (except when he fucks w/ Norm, who is an even bigger beating).

I will say DM's "Why Today Doesn't Suck" doesn't suck b/c of the participation on the HL and L4G.

And w/out Corby and Gordo, I doubt I'd even have the little Ticket saved on my radio...Danny has also become a favorite. Now that I think about it, I probably wouldn't even listen to D&M w/out Gordo.

Rhyner (i know, dead) is an interesting guy. I don't alway agree w/ him and he's a huge Horn hater but the dude has led an interesting life and has great stories.

BAD Radio couldn't do morning drive. It is too formulaic for them. Sure they have their appointment segments like GNG and Tivo but D&M works so well because of the formula they have. And the pot smoking, PS2 crowd wouldn't wake up that early to listen. Now could BAD do the HL shift? Oh hell yeah. I love it when they fill in during the HL's dry dock time. The HL becomes almost unlistenable when they shove the baseball segments in. And I am starting to hate Trifecta talk. More Corby segments are needed. What ever happened to Reproman, Obviousman, and the Redundant Man of Redundancy?

IT WAS VICODIN EXPO!!!

I listen to The Ticket a lot, but Jeez, I hate the way some of those guys kiss ou's *** all the time.

Someone should inform them that ou sucks.

I gagree.

The best thing ever on the ticket, to me, was the dude who did the fake Emmitt Smith on the E break. He'd call in and just ramble on with random *** names he was thanking in his retirement speech.

Greg Louganis...Richie Farmer....Sam Donaldson....Richie Petitbone....Phil Donahue....Gino Torretta

That, and of course, the snow monkeys signaling touchdown on top of fake Nolan Ryan's chest in the middle of the night

Is today the day that Sweet Greggo returns?

I've gotta think so. The bit has run its course.

And I'm sure they won't ask him about it.

We'll find out in 5 hours when "Once again, BaD Radio presents Why Today Doesn't Suck."

I don't think so.

During cafeteria talk the other day, Corby mentioned that they'll all have to go to a cafeteria on Tuesday when Kevin "is with us again".

No Greggo today. Looks like Kelly Milligan might be filling in. He's a spare who lost out on the ESPN reality show where they hired a new SportsCenter anchor.

I remember Milligan. Think he's a local attorney in Dallas.

This is by far the worst chemistry experiment they've come up with so far - I wonder who forced this one on them.

If there's no Greggo around, at least give Mike and Corby more airtime with occasional K Scott. . . this is officially getting weird with mr. hammer.

So how many weeks does this make now? Two or three? I am starting to think that with the fill ins, we are seeing possible auditions for Greggo's replacement. Why the hell have the spare Kelly Milligan on there? Why does Pete Stein get counted down but someone like Milligan gets to co-host? This is getting very very strange.

ASTRONAUT!

Milligan was bad. He didn't speak up much and when he did it was a lame Sportscentery type analogy and not funny. If they are truly looking for a new replacement, I think K-Scott is the best fit. He's good on the air, has chemistry with the current personalities and brings that single guy element to the table.

I'm pretty certain Greggo will be back. At least that's what I was told by somebody that is pretty close to the situation. When he's coming back I don't know, though. Anyway, I caught about five minutes of that guy yesterday and he wasn't very entertaining.

And, if the Hard Line is truly going to look for a permanent replacement the station need look no further than Corby or K. Scott for the reasons listed above by CharlestonHorn.
