where is greggo?

Sounds like Rex hasn't listened in 3 years. The Hardline rarely does "bits" at all anymore. Mostly, it's recurring segments like Mike's Mind, E-News, Community Quickhits, the College Football Blowhard, Trifecta Talk, etc.

So I've got a confession, what time does WTDS come on? I've......never..............heard it....

babysdaddy: My sarcasm meter isn't working today, so if you're serious, it comes on during the crosstalk between BaD Radio and the Hardline. So approximately between 2:50 and 3pm, lasting until 3:20 or so.

you are not having fun here. no.

they stopped the dejean schtick about 6 months ago. they still occasionally do norm drops.

i hate ticket posers. go away galloway.

out of curiosity, how old are you?

and they havent run a butchered dejean drop in at least 4 months. they still play regular spots for him, maybe you just think you are hearing new ones.

we must have very different senses of humor then, because bad radio is the most consistently funny show on the station.

You do have a different sense of humor. I listen to the Ticket all day long except from 12-3. I just can't tolerate Dan McD. Sturm is underutilized and could carry a show on his own like Norm.

However, I understand that BaD radio has some very faithful devotees. I just don't share their enthusiasm.

now i think you are just ******* with me. i would be careful to generalize your opinions by saying that everyone else agrees with you. i was once the same way, speaking in broad, superlative generalizations.

if dan went to 610, it would easily becore the 2nd best station in texas and he would dominate whatever slot they gave him. not everyone needs a character to be good. unbiased horn needs to chime in with his opinion on this.

like the other shows they dont need "bits" to be funny. their sports talk is good because they are constantly trying to draw the other offside and it usually results in a blowup. hey, if its not for you dont listen. im sure that rhyner will continue his pac ten homer joke series (which is maddening) and the musers will continue to have generic sports talk with lots of solid but somewhat obvious points with a little gordo genius sprinkled in so his fans will continue to listen. i love the ticket, but i like it as a whole because it is really easy to turn on and detach yourself from everything else a couple times a day. not because corby is really good at bits.

Line 4 guy is literally a caller who started calling in some years ago and was funny enough to be allowed in permanently. Most of the time he is golden and other times he tries to hard. Nobody knows who he is. Occasionally he will go awhile without calling in and they start speculating on his whereabouts.

i get that, but why is it lucky for you that most share your opinion? do you think that if something were to happen to either of the drive time shows and bad radio was forced to step in that everyone would start listening to espn radio? i dont. i think its a matter of convenience and you are really smart to pick up on the fact that most of dfw would prefer drive time to bad radio, based mostly on the fact that most people dont have the chance to listen to the show. most people cant listen to am gold all day like you and i, so all they are exposed to is drive time. thats why those time slots are coveted by the radio guys.

and saying that "all your buddies listen" and none of them can stand dan mcdowell doesnt provide much of an argument. for all i know your buddies could all be kin of chris kris, in which case i dont (and im sure the guys at the ticket dont either) consider your opinion on most things valid. if thats not the case, ive already said that its not for everybody, but there is a good part of the dallas listenership that really enjoy the greatness of bad radio, except for donnie do because he brings nothing.

Y'all are some serious Ticket fools. Get over it. I was a Day 1, P-1 and when I moved from Dallas over a year ago, I really thought I would miss it. Listened for a few weeks on the web, but that's it. I don't miss it at all. Break yourself free, you can do it you freaking coke addicts.

Damn, I remember Skip Bayless, Curt Menefee, Crhis Arnold, Rocko Pendoza and probably more that have come and gone. I guess the great thing about the Ticket is that they can produce a five page thread on Hornfans, but in hindsight, it's really not all that great.

[Mick Jagger]Why are we fighting?[/Mick Jagger]

I thought Whitt was terrible and stumbled all over the Hardline today. Please bring back K-Scott. Whitt lost all credibility with me when he wrote after the UT MNC that he was upset that the local sports media was devoting so much time to UT when DFW had two great college programs in TCU and SMU. TCU I can get but SMU? SMU???

I thought that was Richie Witt. He filled in admirably. From reading his columns in the Observer, I thought he was a lot older.

And I don't get what you guys see in Dan - he certainly contributes to that shows chemistry, but hes just not that funny, and his knowledge of sports is overall pretty weak - especially next to Sports Sturm.

I usually punch out at my desk when Norm comes on, and I'll fire the little ticket back up around 2:55 - which is a golden segment - Dan is great in that, maybe I just need less of him.

i agree with the above poster that Sturm could do his own show without Dan. His bit is just being an ******* and it gets old after a while.

A little birdie told me that Greggo is taking some personal time and should be back soon. I wouldn't be surprised if this has to do with that cell phone call that was referenced in an earlier post on this thread.
