where is greggo?

there is exactly ZERO chance of galloway joining the hardline. are you ******* serous? absolutely no chance in hell.... from BOTH sides.

hope they find somebody good. somebody we haven't heard in that spot yet, because all of the fill ins fell a little short. although richie was the best of the bunch.

Rhynes said he was very excited about bringing in someone new (sounded like from the outside). It's a challenge to him, and he was looking forward to having to win over the P1 once again (like the old days).

Here are the segments about Greggo (in case you didn't hear):

They said before they left that they would know who the college football champion was by the time they got back, so I'm assuming they'll be back Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.

An easy way to ensure that nobody sues (because Greg would have no damages) would be to let him out of his non-compete and join ESPN. If they don't think he would hurt them, and at this point, there's not much evidence that he would, then that may be the way the Ticket decides to go.

The Ticket should tell the Hammer that if he wants out of his non-compete now, then he needs to withdraw his questionable cease and desist letter and let the Ticket use Greggo drops and say his name on the air.

Greggo gets to negotiate with ESPN, and the Ticket can bring back Greggo drops. Works for everybody.

I'm thinking it does and I can't wait!! I'm pumped. This station has always done things the right way and I think it will be fun to get a new guy in there because they play off each other so well and that just adds new variables to the jokes, etc...

I wouldn't be suprised if it was not only to announce the new HL host but if all the hosts were together in a roundtable setting and they discuss the whole Greggo situation as a station. Of course the HL could talk about it from just their POV but considering how much the situation affected the entire station and the fact that everybody has been there for at least the last 7-8 years it would be cool.

That time of the day is the only time really all the hosts can be there. Musers get off the air at 10 and usually stick around to do promos and stuff. Norm is of course on the air. BaD is usually in pre show prepping. And the HL is usually straggling in around this time.

Can't wait to hear just what it is.

I would like to see Greggo's lawyers try to get this cease-and-desist order inforced. If they wanted to say his name they could. I do not believe you can bar someone from speaking your name. You can stop the from using your likeness, but come on the other stuff is BS.

Is there any real mystery regarding what happened?

Greggo is a drug addict and that addiction impacted his performance and reliability to the point where his continued employment sent the wrong message to the rest of the workforce and was causing unrest within one of the station's biggest shows.

I guess specific details are missing but we are all capable or reading between the lines without an hour by hour timeline of events.

Coincidentally (or not), Michael Irvin's new show on ESPN radio debuts at 11:00 today.

Ticketstock is already lame enough. Using it to steal thunder is worse.

Threesheets, you're exactly right. What a suck-*** ploy by the Ticket, and if it is nothing more than a sorry Ticketstock announcement, then they're going to piss away yet more of the good will that they've enjoyed with the P1.

They read the official announcement of the resignation and then talked about it at length. I was pissed at the silly "big annoucement" at 11, but I thought they handled this very well. Mike talked a lot about how Greggo contributed to the start of the Ticket because he was the first of the original group to find his voice on the radio and that because of that the early listeners had something to hang on to. Both and he and Corby said nice things about him.

But, they also said the show was moving on and that there would be someone else added to the team. Mike said he liked having the third guy.

They then appealed to the listeners to give them a chance as they start over. This was quite a bit different from Mike's usual "we don't owe you anything" stance.
