Week 2 Prediction Thread: Texas vs Alabama...7-1-1

Texas had the ball for less than 25 minutes, and the starters left in the 3rd as I recall. The blocked punt TD and the pick 6 was the reason that their time on the field was very limited. I believe a total of about 60 plays. Of that, the starters might have gotten perhaps 30-35 snaps. That’s a very small sample size.

All-in-all, I was impressed by Ewers. He’s the real deal and he will be lighting folks up very soon.

I wonder how most of us would react to the never ending inane questions from the "media". Arrogant? Not to me. Sounds like he is sick of being second guessed with the success he has had and continues to have. Screw the dumb *** reporters.

I firmly believe that had Texas hired Saban in 2013 and had the type of run he has had at Alabama, this type of response to questions would be perfectly acceptable. He would not be called an arrogant dickweed.

Sark takes the same questions.
He pauses and answers the question to the best of his ability without a hint of sarcasm.
He gives the reporter the same respect as anyone doing their job.
So Saban is a successful arrogant dickweed.
Still an arrogant dickweed.

Great. Sark has been at Texas one season, and the questions are pretty friendly. Really, who cares about how Saban answers?

I know you never agree with me, so let's keep it going here. If Saban was at Texas, just like with any Texas player or coach, he would be able to do no wrong in your eyes.

So, who cares?

Wrong.
I lived in Florida when he was with the Dolphins.
I've followed him for awhile.
I don't know how close he really came to coming to Texas.
I don't think very.
I never wanted him to step foot on the 40 acres.
He's a lying sack of **** in my eyes.
And no amount of wins erases that.
He's also an arrogant dickweed.

When you have been one of the most successful coaches ever
Do you know how many times he has been asked that question over the years?
I thought Saban handled it very well.
And Saban has a good reputation. If he really was so awful it would have come out Long before now.
hic is right. We were so so close to Saban coming here.
It didn't happen but it was close.

I appreciate any coach, leader who's not afraid to step up and tell it exactly like it is. Kiddie sugarcoating is what *^&*()*ies do.

Lol, he was second guessed on not starting a guy who did play. They won 55-0 and he is second guessed.

He started the the guy because he didn't miss any practices. He didn't think it was fair to him to not start him after being at all the practices. Wow, what a dickweed.

hic :lmao:Saban might say something arrogant like Texas is a young team but talented.
And then Saban would arrogantly go on to say something positive about Sark.
I can even see that arrogant dude commenting on the fans and atmosphere at DKR.
How will we overcome all that?

Let's get back to predicting

What do I know? I'm just a 2%er.

Back to predicting:
Texas has 5-star QB, RB, and TE and two high 4-star WR’s. Why can’t Texas score on BAMA? What am I missing?

Viper,

A few things about last night:

1) WRs did not create separation against the vaunted ULM secondary
TE open all night, both Sanders AND Helm. On the first TD, both were open.

Whomever is at this game better damn well uncover, squeeze your nuts, and make out like a 7th grader with your woman when Texas scores. Else you're just 2%ER.

Be like Old Army instead. Chigaragarum, or whatever.

I've always loved the idea of taking a couple of TEs out of HS and beefing them up to play OT. They have the size, footwork, and strength to make great tackles.

I do not understand the negative comments about Saban. He is good at what he does and doesn’t take cheap shots at anyone. Having said that, he does not have a lot of patience with nitpicking sports writers. Neither would I. My best memory of him was when Mac beat his LSU team in the Cotton Bowl and after the game the Texas hater press guys ask some negative crap of Mack.
Saban ask them what they were doing and bragged on Mack’s win/loss success as a coach. He basically stood up for Mack after Mack had just beat him. Name another coach who has done that.

Count me as a big Saban fan and perhaps, like some other fans, I am bit jealous.

Ok, so I’m dealing with some serious budgeting crap here. My brothers and I are stub hubbing tix to the WVA game and I seriously think we need to get ahead of the market and buy them BEFORE the Horns beat Bama. Cause, the price will go through the roof after we win Sat. Am I on track here? Overthinking it a bit?
