UT, OU, and SEC?

This take might be a bit out there but I believe the possibility exists that emergency, secret meetings could be taking place in the B1G and the PAC 12. If those leagues ever wanted to make a play for Texas and OU and perhaps agree to make the necessary sacrifices, now would be that time.

While I expect that the SEC could be a done deal, the fat lady hasn’t sung yet.

Let me add that I believe the league that would most benefit from adding Texas & OU would be the PAC 12… (Perhaps that is obvious.)

Whether it happens or not it is really fun to see the ol red face Aggies out in full force…”vote in this poll…SEC lied to us…our AD should be fired…we should go independent…tu will pay the refs…” it’s really crazy.

Something like this is probably inevitable, give it time. I don’t think the PAC would take Baylor over TCU, notwithstanding BU’s recent basketball success. Too much lingering stench at Baylor. If you think concern for women’s’ sports and equal rights among the sexes is big around here, you should see the West Coast. USC’s new President is a rather extreme feminist. I can’t see Baylor getting the nod. BU’s misogyny is off the charts.

Plus TCU is a much better cultural fit—think USC ($$$$$). In West Coast terms, TCU = Pepperdine in cowboy boots and with an overachieving football team. Now TCU may reap the benefits from admitting all those students from California over this last decade or so. There’s at least a bit of a tie there.

Yeah, I can’t get it on my smart phone, just get the ad.

go to YouTube and search for “hitler OU texas” and it will come right up

here’s the link

Same here, but the ad is at the END of the video. You have to rewind to the beginning.

Hmmmmmmm. So now they’ve flip-flopped back again to the position that they (aTm admin) were kept in the dark by their SEC brethren?

The aTm admin looks like crap whether they were in on the news or not, so they might as well be upfront about it and stop flipping back and forth.

Part 2 of that article should be headlined: “Aggies Finally Learn Not To Trust Their Administration.” But that might be asking a lot of that crew…

I will never understand why you feel the need to be the hypocrisy sheriff around here.
I also don't think many here necessarily think it's a great day in Texas if we join the SEC.
I am one that has never liked the SEC and would almost rather see us go independent.
But having absolutely zero control of the situation I will find the positives and support the only team that matters to me.
Because I place a high value on integrity.

If you care about the long-term success of Longhorn athletics (not just football), this move is gangsta. TV and streaming deals for rights will be maximized by this move. And NIL levels the "recruiting" advantage.
