UT, OU, and SEC?

Not extending beyond 24-25? Does that mean 24 or 25 will be the last FB season? I can only assume that means 24-25 school year, thus 25-26 would be the first for FB, so it's still 4 more years in the B12, that's still a lot and possibly not a major enticement even for the 22 recruiting class. If it's not til 26, it's pretty meaningless for the 22 class.

I believe the B12 will disband before that.
UT will buy their way out and the other schools will find a new home over the course of the next year.
Don't be surprised if this is our last season in the B12.

Ok looks like Texas and ou have told the Big XII they want a new deck either after the 2024/2025 academic year, or sooner if a better offer comes in before then.

Therefore Texas and ou are telling the other Power 5 Conferences "if you want us before the 2024/2025 rights explosion, make the best offer". The PAC-12 doesn't have the pull (especially if USC put them on notice). That leaves the B1G and $EC. Come-on B1G.
A new DECK? A buddy of mine has a big deck. He invites people over for parties to admire his big deck.....

Yeah, the notification to the Big 12 was to clearly state Texas and OU won't be playing in the Big 12 after the TV contract runs out. Saw videos saying this means Texas and OU are staying put, but it only means "hey we're not staying past this date", which can also mean "and also we're leaving next year/year after that"....

Interesting that 2021 is the last season with "grandfathered" Longhorn Foundation donations. CDC said prices are going up next season. Now we know it's not just due to the Alabama game in 2022. CDC has been working this thing for months. Tom Herman's failure was a perfectly timed gift for CDC. CDC has strategically orchestrated this entire process. Follow the money.

Mizzooori and Aggie leaders are pathetic leaders and both really obnoxious!!!

Both seem to be exposing themselves as poor examples!

They along with Collin Herd should be eating their words!!!!

Interestingly enough our old pals, da Hogs, don't seem to be too vocally against this new development. I think they're just excited they'll get to play us frequently again. Of course, they're also the ones who started the slow dominoes falling that led to this (and it ain't close to over yet...).

"Texas is coming! Texas is coming!"

It seems that a little bit of the Ohio State/Cleveland Browns/Millwall UK soccer fan DNA somehow got into the Arkansas Razorback fans collective gene pool. I don't recall any of our other traditional opponents being physically violent like they can get sometimes. (aside from a few drunken fights at the Texas/OU game)

“Asleep At The Wheel”

Bowlsby was supposed to have said this in a recent interview. I am sure most of you have seen it.

“And so a lot of the motivation for realignment is no longer there. Is that to say it couldn’t happen? No, it could possibly happen for other reasons.”

Right! Like your limp d- - k do nothing agenda as the commissioner. Did your Sooners make the phone call before they sh-t caned your worthless a- -?

Looking ahead, I propose (and dearly hope) that the LHB plays this during the final games with ISU, OSU, KU, KSU, WVU, TCU, Tech, and BU.

(or at the final home games with these teams, since the full LHB doesn't often travel out of state)

Depending on how the chips fall over the next few years, almost all the Big 12 teams may end up thanking us and OU for their improved lot in life.

PAC 12 > Big 12
BIG >>> Big 12
ACC > Big 12

I suppose in 2025 the SEC will be a West / East Division thing?

I sure hope so. I hate the "pod" system that some are speculating will be the case. In the pod system, you'd have to have a tournament like baseball just to determine a conference champion.

I don't see how we could wait until 2025 to play in the SEC.
I got to think that statement is worded that way for legal reasons. I imagine there have been deals cut to get UT and OU out by 2022 and absolutely no later than after 2023.

Was it a bit unethical to bolt from the league and leave the 8 other teams scrambling? Yes. And that's a black eye on us.
We've given public and private notice to the league before our contractual obligations expire. There's nothing unethical about that. I'm not at all for us getting in bed with the sec *****; and perhaps we'll end up with a better deal elsewhere. But, IMHO, we can't be rightfully accused of behaving unethically.

Perhaps i used the wrong word.

Man, I forgot all the excuses.
At least Smart was upfront about the loss.
Mild-mannered Eric Stokes drops ‘blood bath’ line on Texas, Oklahoma SEC addition
Only SEC school with winning record against Texas is Vanderbilt. This Dawg writer is full of injury excuses. Except for missed punt in ‘84, no other wins by them over Texas. Guess they had injuries in other losses as well. Did Texas play against their Heisman studs?
Injuries are part of the game. Don’t cry. Learn to win with them.

Herman wasn't SEC ready.
