Ukraine updates

Well, the first Russian troop to set foot in Poland or the Baltics will be met with sub-fired tomahawks aimed at every military post in the Western part of Russia. Even Putin knows that which is why he has been careful in the western part of Ukraine.
 
Here is the alternative view regarding Ukraine progress in the war, but it sounds like ******** to me:

 
Mchammer, take note of what he is saying. He isn't saying that they are steadily taking land. They aren't. He claims that Ukraine is crippling Russia's ability to operate, meaning to defend the land they have. The problem with this is that it is a one sided comment. Russia is doing the same to Ukraine. Ukraine is losing many men during this failed offensive.

He also claims at one point that crippling an operational system requires air power. But he also admits that Ukraine can't use air power. He is saying if only NATO would give them more fighter jets that this would be possible. The reality is that Russia right now controls the skies. That means that have much more ability to hurt Ukraine's capability. Plus they have more artillery. Plus they have way more soldiers. If you want to wage a successful offensive you need more soldiers than the defensive side. In this case that is reversed. Not sure how Ukraine will ever be able to remove Russia from the land they occupy. The only chance is bringing NATO troops. But then we are in WW3.
 
It's pretty rich for NATO to scold Zelensky when it is their involvement that has made him so bold. Without that he say or do any of this publicly.
 
NATO is trying to not so subtly tell Zelensky that he is not going to get an invite until he settles with Russia. There is zero chance Ukraine can achieve a military victory.

Who was it from the government that accidentally admitted that recently? He said something like the war has been a disaster for Ukraine or it has been a failure. Not sure he was supposed to say that.

Well this was wrong. Europe suffered more economically than Russia.

Russia shelling Odesa much like they did Bakmut. This isn't winding down anytime soon. We are on the escalator folks. Last stop nuclear war. Still hope it stops short.

Saw an article where Blinken said Ukraine has taken back 50% of the area taken by Russia. They just need F-16s to get the other 50%. 50% of what? Of a city park?
 
Yeah. But Mike Pence, Niki Haley, Tim Scott, Donald Trump, and Ron DeSantis assure me he is reasonable and believable. They say it's bad to be cynical about the institutions. More money for Ukraine and Israel!
 
I don't think Trump had kind words to say about Blinken especially after Blinken tried to blame Trump for Afghanistan withdrawal debacle.
 
US doesn’t control India or China. The sanctions were stupid from the start. Pull away from Russia due to moral conviction? Sure, but do it smartly where you don’t cut your own nose off. These folks made the same stupid knee-jerk reactions as the Covid lockdown nuts.
