This war is an advertisement to all nations to adopt something roughly equivalent to our Second Amendment. If most Ukrainians are armed and resilient, this will be a long and painful occupation for Russia. A Pyrrhic victory. Like their Afghanistan adventure. Could turn into a decades long civil war.

I am not sure Putin expected this much resistance. Hopefully the tons of weaponry and munitions we gave them end of Jan/Feb will help the Ukrainians hang on..
