The Media Industry

I just watched the Kung Flu presser.
The media is so angry and hateful.
They kept asking over and over for an exact date the devices and masks needed will be available. And getting even ruder about it.
What semi intelligent person would not realize the enormity of this situation.?We do not stockpile millions of stuff all the time. It takes some time to get production up
and it sounds like they have done a remarkable job with so many private companies stepping up.
All most of the media wants is a gotcha moment at Trump

Are you trying to tell me LongestHorn was wrong once again?

Longest horn is a liberal parrot. He doesn't think for himself, he just spouts off what he hears and sees on TV, it's easier, that way he doesn't actually have to use his brain and figure things out for himself.

I find that most liberals are this way. A liberal doesn't see right or wrong, they see what is good for their party and what is bad for their party. All that matters to them is the party.

Actually I see them as kids wanting idealistic solutions by implementing poorly thought out policies that likely have a negative impact because they haven’t thought through the incentives.

Lijian Zhao is the spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry of the Chinese Communist Party
He keeps retweeting MSNBC “journalists”
The liberal media keeps doing the work of and for the CCP
Why?
Are they aiding a foreign power in its attempt to interfere with our election?

Way too funny Pelousi snarks ar Jim Cameron of MSNBC. He asked what she would say why the bill is not passed
"Cramer asked if Pelosi could respond to the “150 million working people right now who are watching and listening” who were wondering if “they have a job on Friday.”
I’m glad you have such a large audience,” Pelosi quipped."

**** her

Aside from that.

I see a pretty solid line of people I know with the ability to work from home and no loss in demand or revenue in their jobs to be the pro-stay at home and close everything people.

I have two video-conference rooms set up here now
One Mac, one Windows
One person forgot to set the background, the bed was shown, lol

That is what I am finding. People who can maintain their jobs want everyone else at home.

Little do they know, that their jobs aren't safe if everyone else doesn't get back to work in a few weeks tops.

UBI is handing people money. But remember money is just a means of exchange. The exchange itself is goods for goods. It has to be backed by production. If it isn't, goods will simply go away. What is in the supply will be bought up with nothing else following.

It really is an ignorant idea.

JF, that is interesting that most people aren't worried about getting it.

China now has riots. If the US isn't rioting 4 weeks, they are more freedom loving than we are.

No, I see a lot of liberals gnashing their teeth over the forced government closures of businesses and loss of personal liberties because of it. Yeah, that's what I see a lot of from them....

I fear the $3T budget deficit we're going to run this year more than I fear the Coronavirus. And even more than that, I fear that no one gives a crap and that there will be tremendous political pressure to piss away even more money than that.

You can put me in the "pissed off" category. I expect the other side to always try and pull crap like this. But I hate my side even more for just rolling over and letting them do it (again!) It also seems clear that R-leadership told them to "just shut up about it." Hardly any of them complained. Panic always clouds judgement and causes deviation from rational thought. But there is a small group that always knows that is the perfect time to pounce. This is often where the worst results come from.

In the car yesterday, I heard someone mention what % of this funding was going to reach individual taxpayers and/or small businesses. It was a ridiculously low. I cant recall the exact number but even I was surprised. I will try and find that later.

Both parties in the Congress treated this bill like a grab bag for their lobbyist friends. What they should have done instead was offer a clean bill to help the people. Wasnt that the point? It should have been the point. But, as always, the big wigs feed themselves first while the people get the scraps.

You could not be more wrong.

You could not be more wrong.

Dirty bills filled with pork are better than clean bills is not something I thought I would bump into here today. But OK. I guess if people get what they want, whatever else might be in it doesn't matter. That is a nice metaphor for how we got to where we are now
