I hate the blame the refs game it’s way too aggy but suffice to say that the SEC (edit: I am told they were Big XII which is even worse but not shocking) officials certainly did their part as much as they could to help Bama. Bunch of missed calls by todays crew.

Don't know whether PK figured it out, GP factored in or PK + GP = vastly improved D. Regardless, the D is vastly improved.

Don't have a clue if only a sprain... he is young and they heal faster. Maybe he only misses UTSA game?

I would also prefer that we not have so many offensive plays that by design leave the defender that is in the best position to stop the play completely unblocked.

Those weren’t SEC officials. “Goggles” has been doing Texas games for years.

Sark said sprained clavicle for Ewers

I sprained a clavicle 6 years ago. Since it’s none throwing shoulder he should be back in 2 weeks! We’ll see!

My clavicle grew back lower on my shoulder so it still hurts if I slept on that side the night before. Anyway, I think Ewer returns soon. He’s 19. I was 48 when that happened.

Refs sucked.
Bama got the calls. (or didn't)
But first half we were inside the Bama 10 three times and came away with six points.
Worthy drops a sure TD.
We could have easily won this game even with the bad calls and injuries.
Gotta take advantage.
But a great game and the D looks much improved.
Just have to carry it forward now.

Saw the entire game. The obvious:

1) Ewers was playing big time football especially with incredible accuracy on his throws. Shades of the NC game when we lost Coy and another LT QB entered the game.
2) Worthy drop. Ugh.
3) Missed sack at the end. Ugh.
4) Missed call on the grounding that should have been a safety. Ugh.
5) Horns overall are right there but we must prove it wasn't a motivational high due to the oppositions cred. We have to show up every week because our opponents show up for us like we showed up for Alabama today.
6) Feel great about the coaching staff. The preparation and execution on the field should keep that entire 2023 recruiting class intact and growing.
7) Fans - AWESOME


That was a tremendous college football game and the Longhorns are definitely SEC ready. Just wait until that offensive line has the same talent but instead of freshman, they'll be juniors.

And a special thanks from my Dad and I. He had heart surgery on wednesday, and I was watching him last night. We were at the hospital most of last night on a bleeding scare. He’s OK now. But it was great to see the game with him and let him reminisce about Texas 1958-1962! He loved watching it with me!

It’s over. We lost by 1 and played way better than just about anyone expected. The one thing in our control that would’ve made the difference - the missed FG - make that and there’s the game. Anything else at this point is aggy-esque.

Great game. We’re better than we thought. Time to get ready for next week and build on what we brought to everyone’s attention today….we good!
