I was scared just watching....

Whether that was staged or not (need for wheel), that was crazy. My wife’s great grandmother died in a plane accident in the DFW area in the early 1930’s. The great grandfather had abandoned the family by then and the great grandmother met some barnstormers. The grandfather was raised by his grandmother who he hated and joined the army at age 17 and shipped to the Philippines. He was captured by the Japanese and spent 3 years as a POW in Manchuria. All because of a damn airplane.

The human stomach can dissolve razor blades
If you ever swallow a razor blade, don’t panic. The human body is more capable than you think. Acids are ranked on a scale from 0 to 14—the lower the pH level, the stronger the acid. Human stomach acid is typically 1.0 to 2.0, meaning that it has an incredibly strong pH. In a study published in the journal Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, scientists found that the “thickened back of a single-edged blade” dissolved after two hours of immersion in stomach acid. That’s just one of many fun facts about the human body you never learned in school.

Wow. On a similar topic, Lady Diana was told by QEII to go before a formal event. I learned from that and heeded that advice before standing at attention for loooong speeches from over officious politicians.

While I never met the queen, I took her advice and we stop often enough on road trips to Colorado, Wyoming, etc. to avoid "bladder splatter".

I just showed my wife the clip and she said that reminds her of a story from years ago….a teacher took her student to the restroom a few minutes before school was dismissed. Kid ran out in the street and got run over. Doctor said that saved his life. My wife never understood why, until now.

Since there isn’t a Something Weird thread…I bought a brand new truck three months ago. Don’t ask me why, but I decided to see how long I can go without driving it. I have 120 miles on it.

I don’t know why but this made me laugh

I imagined you standing there looking at the truck thinking, “I kinda need to go somewhere but ... nope.”

My wife cracks up because I won’t drive it lol. The truck I currently drive will be my son’s but not until November, so I’m trying to hold strong.
