The boosters of many major programs will likely take it upon themselves to have important players star in tv, radio, online, and billboard commercials for companies owned and/or controlled by boosters. What % of the high profile sports high profile players will get endorsements?
Will Nike Under Armour etc cut back on what they give schools? Will it affect the non revenue sports?
A Freshman who is redshirting may not sell many burgers, cars, working interests in oil wells, or insurance policies, but he'll get plenty of endorsement $$$ from companies owned by boosters. Thinking through all this, it could easily end up as one big sham.
And now for a commercial break on Mid-South Pro Wrestling: "This is Mattress Mac, and some Freshman lineman at UH you've never heard of, and we've got some incredible deals now on new dressers and mattresses!!!"
