RIP, Ben. I've had to send too many good dogs over that bridge. Can't wait to see them on the other side. The most recently, Squanto. He had mouth cancer that took over his face in under 2 months. Those fuzz-mites dig a deep hole in the heart. I have great empathy for Kirk & his family.

They are certainly less judgmental. We should all strive to be the person that our dogs think we are.

I can relate to that. It's been nine years since we had to put Prince (my cat) down. I have another cat now, and he's a great companion - but I think about Prince often. I still have his picture as my avatar.

HHD Prince looks like a Prince.
I know we should remember how much they give us and that we gave them a good life too.
But the pain is still hard to bear.
It is going to be hard for Kirk tomorrow.
