Random Season News

I do agree with KIrk on this point and I think the first round results show that. Just because a team won 11 games does not mean they were belong in top 12 teams in country. Not sure how you keep them out if they win their conference.

But, but, but, that means Joe Paterno and State Penn would never have made the playoffs. Sure he had the most wins, BUT not only is he the ONLY coach to ever turned down the opportunity to play for a National Championship, look at his list of wins and who he beat. His schedules were softer than Hostess Snoballs

Amen to that. Glad to hear it - needed to put that skunk on the table as it was directly attributed to the L in that one (and had been a brewing problem as the season was progressing).

Penalties. Red zone conversions. Turnovers. Missed FGs. Not taking the points. All factors that, if addressed, mean the difference between a championship and a “just missed it” season.

I said last two years that Sark was wound too tight in CFP last year and against GA in CCG. I also said home game in CFP this year would give the team a chance to play more relaxed. Seems like we are heading in the right direction against ASU. Big question is Sark going to be uptight against again UO or OSU when the stakes are bigger.

The solution is 2 human polls and 1 aggregate computer poll.
As long as I'm one of the "human polls", I'm good with that. I figure that between my grandson and Viper's grandson, they can rig the computer to spit out what we want, so everything comes out a 2-1 vote.

Sorry, LC, but I lit CDC up on that group. We are in the middle of a melt down & blowing a 21 point lead, and the Longhorn band can't play and get the fans back into it, and we have Mariachi on the jumbotron. I was livid.

Lots of Mexican American Horn fans.
Yes, and there was a great crowd reaction to their performance BOTH times, but it wasn't the time when Cade was cramming the ball down our throat and cutting the lead from 21 to 7. Django's song was well timed, the Mariachi not so much.

With 19% Asians in the student population, will I have to put up with whatever they listen to while Ohio State is kicking our butt next fall? Or was this an attempt to make us forget the "war" between the cheerleaders and the pom squad?
