My guess for the semifinals:
• Notre Dame - Penn State
• Texas - Oregon

Finals:
• Texas - Notre Dame

It’s weird to see (nat’l rankings) #s 9 and 12 getting first round byes (Boise St and ASU) while #s 3, 5, 6, 7 and 8 have to win another game (Texas, ND, OSU, Tenn and Indiana) to get in.

The conference championship games are clearly a liability now and incentivize a less competitive schedule, which no CFB fan wants to watch.

We need to incentivize bold matchups and reward the risk, even in a close loss scenario there should be the SOS benefit.

They should have byes for the #1 and #2 to the semifinal game. Same for #3 and #4 at the quarterfinal game, etc. In this way the regular season counts more. Rankings should be done by AP and computer rankings that use SOS. They had it right for the BCS.
