Raid on Trump's home

He can run again. That is totally unconstitutional.

Concur.

The left is trying to make it out as something that would disqualify DJT, but they ALSO ignore that a conviction is required, not just a trumped up Banana Republic accusation.

That said...I still believe DJT should sit back and let someone else get the nomination. This nation won't elect anyone over the age of 70 again after the cognitive shitshow that SlowJoe has put center stage...and they certainly won't do it without a strong VP, and I see a strong VP as bringing a clash of egos into the equation, which is ALSO no bueno.

Even a conviction wouldn't disqualify him. The Constitution sets the qualifications for president. They can't be changed by statute.

Never thought I'd say this, but Andrew Cuomo is right.

Quomo:
"They MUST show justification."
FBI:
We had a warrant.
Quomo:
Well there you go. I'm satisfied!

Here is the CNN link
The Demx are not even making an attempt to make them look real
BUT they are pretending they are. Every Demx outlet is giddy reporting this.
Surprised bubba has not posted
Photos show handwritten notes that Trump apparently ripped up and attempted to flush down toilet - CNNPolitics

I'm not sure I could have framed those torn-up notes better if I'd tried. It's sure handy that Trump used a dark marker and wrote large enough so that we could recognize some of the words from all the way above the bowl.

I’m shocked democrats don’t see the danger in what just happened, but they didn’t when Lois Lerner weaponized the IRS. The United States will collapse without a honest justice system.

At this point, the Dems know that they can do whatever they want and there will be no reprisal. Aside from senate procedural rules, the GOP is not going to weaponize government agencies to the extent the Dems have, and they know it.

I find it difficult to believe the DOJ lawyers and FBI were not absolutely confident they would find what they were looking for

On that we completely agree.

Abso-*******-lutely
I guess we'll find out. I think that was part of the 10 boxes that his staff discussed how to get him to not take before he left. Sad authoritarian. Sad that you guys don't see this as us migrating toward Orban, Putin, Erdregron, Kim Jong, etc.

Almost surely not. What smells is that they're coming after him for something they generally haven't cared about. It suggests that there's another agenda.
This has been out there for some time. I'd guess they were in discussions to get this stuff back for some time. Interestingly, I'd assume that Trump had someone move it to an off site location. I sure would.

Does it seem suspicious agents entered house wearing back packs? We have seen many FBI raids as covered by media. Don't remember the agents wearing backpacks.
Does it seem unusual for FBI to request security cameras turned off? You'd think they would want the search recorded

I suspect this action was "Evidence" in the backpacks to plant while the cameras were turned off!!

Sad that you can't see that the democrats are using lawfare against their political opponents. As usual you are clueless.

Is there any justification for him to have classified materials?
We don't even KNOW that he HAD materials deemed to be classified. And, unless those FBI guys have an extra-special clearance above that of most of the FBI, we can rule out that there was anything top secret.

Explain to us how a birthday menu is somehow classified? Explain how Barack's letter to him is classified?

Go ahead. We are all anxiously awaiting your explanation...

Exclusive: An informer told the FBI what documents Trump was hiding, and where

He returned 10 boxes that had classified materials shortly after the move. That's normal and reasonable. There were apparently 10-15 more boxes that he retained. There was an informant who told them where to find said boxes. I have no idea what's in those boxes and neither do you. All you have are the rantings of an idiot who claimed that the first 10 boxes had no classified materials while those who make those decisions after the dust settled disagreed with his assessment. This is one of those if it walks like a duck and lies continuously like a duck... it's probably a duck.

Un named source. If nothing else, you're consistent

They took a lot more than just boxes.

As was previously stated by another poster, anything worth a warrant, Trump ain't keepin where it can be found, much less in his home. WHEN, the raid produces "damaging evidence", I sincerely hope I'm not the only one thinking it was stuff in the feds hands before they conducted the raids. After all the "made for TV" antics, Trump will still have what they did not TRULY find.

Except if a Trump informant validates what they found and where. Those menus are difficult to hide. If it were an OUBubba operation I'd have been scanning to an offline folder and shredding.

I don't doubt that there was a real issue with the documents. I just don't buy that it's the real motivation behind the raid. It doesn't pass the smell test.
