Agree, but why pander to his base? Trump was criticized by the establishment for doing the same. I don’t see the same level of criticism against Biden.

First off, Slow Joe isn't in charge of anything, not even the diaper he wears to avoid soiling his pants. He's a senile old puppet who's trotted out to embarrassingly mumble his way through a speech he's seen for the first time when he's reading it (like when he called the ATF the AFT and slurred the the other words in it, during his gun grabbing speech).
The size of the of the SC packing commission does not limit its power - it'll be used instead by the Media Entertainment Complex to advance of the narrative of "all the best minds agree! Experts have spoken!".
And where, where, is the Coward John Roberts in all this? Remember, when President Trump said one of his outrageous, shocking, can't believe he said it statements about Obama judges and Trump judges (which is 100% true - no judge nominated by Obama would be nominated by Trump, and vice-versa. It's like a vegan and a carnivore picking out their favorite dishes), the Coward ran out to shake his head and say how wonderful they all were.
Now there's a commission to, checks notes, have two branches of government reshape the power of the third, and he's as quiet as a church mouse? The are looking at ways to cut off his dick and shove it up his ***, and he's probably at home this weekend, pouring over editorials in the Bezos Post for guidance on what to say.
What happened to this man? Why did he become such a cowardly piece of ****?
He twists and turns like a pretzel in reasoning - claiming stare decisis for voting against abortion restrictions which he used to support, but ignoring it and expanding without precedent laws against discrimination based on sex to include gays and dudes in dresses.
He allows States to "cheat and retreat", like New York did in their gun transport case, hiding behind mootness as a way to avoid the case.
He claims judicial restraint to avoid taking cases he doesn't want to rule on, but ignores it when he wants the SC to strike down other policy, like President Trump's rescinding of Obama's DACA EO. He ever admitted Obama's EO was a usurpation of legislative powers, but hung his hat on Trump's rescinding of it as being "arbitrary and capricious" - judge speak for it's a meanie thing that they don't personally like.
The only consistent aspect of his decisions has been that since Kennedy left the court, he's voted exactly as the DC Ruling Class wishes him to.
The often repeated idea is that he more of less bought his adopted kids via some dodgy adoption outfit, and he's been threatened with having them taken away. I think that's both foolish, and gives him far too much credit.
Most likely answer is that he's a craven coward, quite willing to become a rubber stamp for whatever the DC Ruling Class wants, in return for scraps of praise. But this should be bigger than his own fragile ego. Congress and the White House are trying to hobble the Supreme Court, and you'd think he would feel he owes it to all the Chief Justices before him to stand up for the independence of the Court.
But even the thought of going against the DC Ruling Class makes him piss himself in terror, so here we are.

The Kavanaugh hearing is all you need to know. #Metoo has retreated completely from "Believe the victim" judge/jury/executioner. The process of advise and consent became one of personal destruction. And now because their ruthless despicable tactics did not work, they instead would do this. They are not interested in sharing power. They are going to attack us at will once they gain full power.
When do we get to start handling these animals if the "People in charge" won't stop it? Sooner or later it will have to stop. All this made up anger is really pathetic.

If it was after dark, it's not terrorism or anything mean like that, just normal crime to be stopped, if possible and not too much of a bother. So says the current Attorney General.
