So we're in London for the wife's pre-op appointment. (Surgery is in the morning.) When it was over, she wanted to do something that didn't require walking. So we found a nearby theater, which ended up being an historic
theater. It was cool but only had two options - Indiana Jones or Barbie. Pretty easy to decide.
My expectations were pretty low. The action scenes were cool, as one would expect, though laughably unrealistic. Harrison Ford was ok - just way too old for the role. Phoebe Waller-Bridge is annoying - wasn't impressed. The rest of the cast was fine.
I honestly didn't see the woke element. Yes, there was the line about stealing and capitalism, but that was one line and clearly made in jest. It was not a serious critique of capitalism. Didn't see any gay, trans, or blatant racial agenda pushed. Let's put it this way. Most big Hollywood movies nowadays are much worse.
Is it good? Not especially, but it's tolerable. I wouldn't go out of my way to see it, but if you have nothing else to see or do, it will suffice.
