This is an absolute disgrace. This isn' just a lawsuit. It's a criminal complaint, meaning it seeks to have them jailed. My hope is that French authorities do the right thing and wipe their butts with it, but if they don't, the US needs to get assertive with them.
First, it should grant political asylum to JK Rowling. In the coming years under a Labour government, she's likely to face prosecution for the same thing in the UK anyway.
Second, we should we impose economic sanctions on them. Sounds crazy, but if you're going to act like North Korea, then we should treat you like friggin' North Korea. We need to care about promoting freedom worldwide again, particularly in countries with which we have a mutual defense pact.

If she goes to the UK, will she get arrested?

Fair point. I was never a cheap redneck beer drinker. Even as a teenager, Shiner Bock was about as bad as it got, and in the '90s it was better than it is now. They watered it down in around '99.
Maybe next the Paralympics can let a completely abled body person compete as long as that person claims to have a disability.
