OTHER GAMES

Colts, leading by 11 and wanting to run some clock go on a 15 play drive that ended in a FG and consumed 9 minutes--the first 13 plays of the drive were all runs (mostly just straight up the middle). The only pass (final play of the drive before the FG) was incomplete.

Cal kicks off to Tech. Tech fumbles and the ball is recovered by Cal’s kicker. One play later, Cal has a TD reception. 15 seconds elapsed.

With Broncos trailing 21-0 to start the second half, they drive, and Lil Jordan Humphrey catches a pass for a first down inside the 10. Then, on third and goal, he makes a nice TD catch with the defender wrapped around him with both arms.

Far from a sellout in Shreveport, but still a respectable attendance for a Dec. 16 bowl with two 6-win teams. In Shreveport, no less.

and Tech just tied it, 14-all.

Weird series for Denver. They get the ball down to the one yard line and then appear to score on two consecutive plays, but the refs rule them down short on each. No challenge flag on either one, although it looked like on both of them that a challenge would be successful. Then they finally score but are called offsides because the refs said the center's helmet was too far over the ball. Never seen that one before. They settle for FG.

Tech and UH can come visit us in Austin every couple of years when they need a half million and a good butt kicking.

GJ,

They didn't just win it. they came out on fire and won it in three straight sets. The ladies of the corn looked like they didn't know what was happening to them.

I think Nebraska was shocked to lose that first set, and then we just poured it on from there.
