OTHER GAMES

Army-Navy,No pay players, just school pride and love for country. The way football was meant to be. Both schools stand for school song. It dont get no better than that. Good win Navy. This old Marine says Semper Fi to you.

Navy’s D got real tough in the second half. Army just couldn’t move the ball. The caissons got stuck in the mud.

Navy LB Diego Fagot (future Marine officer) was the standout player. Lots of key tackles including the final drive stopper. Also, they’re saying he didn’t know the fake punt would be snapped to him at the upback position. It was a surprise to him. He barely grabbed it, stiff armed the defender, and ran it for the first down. Now there’s a football player.

:usa:

That was a good game all the way to the wire.
The way rivalry games should be. Fagot had an epic game. Hats off to Navy coaches for 2nd half adjustments to shut down Army and completely control the clock, the game, and the outcome. Navy won its Bowl Game.

Have a great weekend & Semper Fidelis!!

Some things are still right in this world!

Hard fought game, a great rivalry, great traditions, down to the wire, earnest patriotism, good sportsmanship--especially at the end.

FYI Heads up: Fox Sports SW airing Duncanville vs Southlake. Could be very good!
Duncanville vs. Southlake Carroll

Ah, the joys of true amateur athletics. Players in it for the joy of the game, their buddies, and school pride.

And no recruiting of players to their schools (errrrrrr, cough, cough, ahem, ahem, ummmmmm, cough, cough, ahem, ahem.......).

:rolleyes1::rolleyes1::rolleyes1:

I just lost a few years of my life with the Buf at TB game...TB led 27-10 in the 4th and allowed it to go to overtime. At least then I would have a chance in the contest to cover since I had TB giving 3.5 points...but Buffalo won the toss. Did nothing with it and TB managed to get a long catch-and-run to win it by 6.

Both entries in the contest are now 4-1 on the week and I just have to wait to see if I have gained ground on the leader and last cash. Was two points out of last cash with five weeks left and six points from the lead. And only one of my picks this week was a consensus top-5...that means I can sometimes pick up a point or two if the consensus picks struggle.

Good game between KC and the Chargers tonight. KC got the ball first in OT and drove the length of the field to score the winning TD in only a minute and fifteen seconds.

That opening series for LA was a schiffshow all the way around...from the botched decision to go for it on 4th and goal from around the 7 to losing a couple of receivers in that first possession.

I still have not seen a good update on the Parham injury but what I was reading about the locked arms as relates to concussion does not bode well for a career resuming.

Isn't our athletic department still electronically monitoring our players and the hits they take to prevent serious injury?

NIU vs COASTAL CAROLINA Iin TGC BOWL

Costal Carolina leads 47 - 41. Late 4th Q

only one punt in the game. Several Turnovers. Plenty of poor decisions on the field. Almost comical at times.

Incredible INT by North Dakota State in the endzone with three minutes left to save the game for the Bison, who are up 20-14

Feel sorry for any BYU fans who travelled from Utah to Louisiana to sit in the rain in Shreveport today. (Although it looks like very few did, bless their hearts. There were likely more people at the UT-Kansas game.)

Colts were all over the Patriots until late in the third quarter--up 20-0. Patriots dominating now though and have pulled to within 10 with plenty of time left in the fourth.

Pats score to come within 3 with plenty of time left, but then, with everybody knowing it's a run, Jonathan Taylor busts one over the left tackle for a 67 yard TD run. That'll do it.

1-11-1 Detroit is sticking it to Arizona and Murray so far today. imo, Arizona needs to bring in Colt, but I have to confess that they rarely take my advice. :) . . . they did bring in Colt just before the 2 minute warning, but, trailing by 18, they are just waving the white flag.

Midway through the second quarter, the Saints defense is holding Brady in check and the Bucs are scoreless.
. . .
Bucs still scoreless at halftime.
. . .
Bucs still scoreless with 6 minutes left in the third. (However, the Saints only have 6 points, so all it's going to take is one good drive by Brady. Two top Bucs receivers have gone down with injuries during the game, as has Fournette.)
. . .
Saints force Brady fumble. Saints have the ball to start the fourth, and the Bucs are still scoreless.

. . .
Saints kick FG to extend lead to 9-0 halfway through the fourth. . . . Saints still up by 9 with 5 minutes to go.

. . .
Saints shut them out. Brady lost his cool and his temper a couple of times late in the game--yelling at the Saints interim coach after Brady was intercepted and throwing his Microsoft Surface tablet on the sideline, clearly breaking it. ;)

Mary Hardin-Baylor is D3 National Champs again (3rd out of the last 5).

All but 4 D3 titles since 1996 have come from the same three schools - Mount Union, Wisconsin-Whitewater, and UMHB.

Offsides Penalty on Bears offense. One of the offensive players lined up offsides. Don’t see that one every game.
