OTHER GAMES

From a poster on texags who is apparently an army vet:

After Missouri took a 22-21 lead with 1:11 left, they attempted a 2-point conversion, but that attempt failed. As a result, Army only needed a field goal to wink and kicker Cole Talley nailed a game winning 41-yard field goal to seal a 24-22 win. Army bounced back from a disappointing 17-13 loss to Navy 11 days ago to finish 9-3 and improve to 4-0 in Lockheed Martin Bowls. Also, Army defeated a Power 5 team for the first time since a 21-16 win over Duke on 11/11/17. Go Army!

Anybody see that power run from Army to cut it to 14-16, where the FB flattened one defender and then dragged two others into the endzone?

My son and I were at the game. A gift to me as a vet. The game was in doubt with 3 seconds to go when Army kicked the winning field goal. I felt that both teams gave it all they had. My first time at TCU. People were great and a wonderful atmosphere.

I did. Got to talk to some of the vendors. Bought stuff. Got free stuff. It was a nice atmosphere. Had a great time with my son. Actually got free parking next to Amon Carter Stadium. 10 minutes from SUV to our seats. To get free parking, all you have to do is tell them you know WorsterMan. (Maybe)

If they kick extra point Army still wins with a FG.
With two point conversion FG only ties.

A,J. Brown just back from injury had a slow start (Tenn offense as a whole started slow) but now is having a monster game with 11 catches (by my unofficial count) already for more than 120 yards. Game is still early in the fourth quarter. Tenn has come back from 10-0 deficit to take 17-10 lead over S.F.
, , ,

Starting with about 5 minutes left in the game, S.F. drives 90 yards to tie the game with about 2:20 left. Plenty of time left for the Titans.

. . .

Deebo Samuel is having a good game for S.F. but he keeps having to come out and cannot seem to catch his breath. My amateur prediction--tomorrow or soon thereafter we are going to hear he's gone to the COVID list.

Titans drive to kick winning FG. Good game.

That school catches a fair amount of crap on these boards from time to time, but I, for one, think it’s a good place with some very nice facilities. Friendly (to UT people at least) opposing tailgaters and fans in general. That’s been my experience.

I watched the Cows on Channel 5 until 10:00 - then I decided they had the game well under control and switched to Channel 8 for the News.

Midway through the second quarter, the Saints defense is holding Brady in check and the Bucs are scoreless.
. . .
Bucs still scoreless at halftime.
. . .
Bucs still scoreless with 6 minutes left in the third. (However, the Saints only have 6 points, so all it's going to take is one good drive by Brady. Two top Bucs receivers have gone down with injuries during the game, as has Fournette.)
. . .
Saints force Brady fumble. Saints have the ball to start the fourth, and the Bucs are still scoreless.

. . .
Saints kick FG to extend lead to 9-0 halfway through the fourth. . . . Saints still up by 9 with 5 minutes to go.

. . .
Saints shut them out. Brady lost his cool and his temper a couple of times late in the game--yelling at the Saints interim coach after Brady was intercepted and throwing his Microsoft Surface tablet on the sideline, clearly breaking it. ;)
While I appreciate your commentary, you left out the absolute BEST part of that game...

I cashed the money line at +450 AND also cashed a spread ticket (line was up to 11.5 a few minutes before kick).

Army beat mizzou yesterday in their bowl game. SEC!

As expected...but what was NOT expected was their failure to cover the six points. I was actually rooting for overtime so that could push on that bet I did get the money line though...

Miami is rolling over the Saints so far tonight, but the Saints are essentially powerless with so many on the COVID list or injured. In addition to starting a rookie QB in his first NFL game who did not have a chance to practice with the first teamers before the game, the Saints are down three offensive lineman, and their left tackle tonight is their seventh tackle, i.e., fourth string. Had to turn it off. Hard to watch. (Lil Jordan does have a couple of catches)

mc,

Kent Hance saved Texas Tech $1 million in money that would have been paid to Leach. Whoopee **** for him and Craig James. How much money in ticket sales, donations, etc has Tech lost since their little "look at me" stunt? Then there is this thing about national recognition, which Tech had never had and hasn't had since.

My personal thought (no scientific fact) is that the dynamic duo has likely cost Tech north of $50 million.

Whoa! In Hoff's link the Investigator for Leach said he also found Tech was holding info that affects the safety of young women. WTH?
