I hope your friend rips Hance & James a new one. Hance can't afford a public investigation. James needs to get his family into a bunker because an open investigation could include multiple well-known, well-respected HS coaches being deposed - that would not turn out well for lots of people.

Carson Wentz is on the 'rona list. That would seem to make Sam next man up...they have the Raiders at home this week.

Number 21 for Auburn got lucky in the first half having a targeting call reversed. Near the end of the third quarter he commits a blatent targeting foul and is running around getting handshakes from his teammates. After targeting is confirmed he runs up and down the sidelines working the crowd. Somehow this does not seem right to celebrate a targeting foul.

I don't think he is celebrating a targeting call, particularly after the WR ducks his head. The kid is the emotional leader of the defense, something Longhorn fans can't identify with since we haven't seen one of those in years. He is encouraging the fans to get loud.

Holiday Bowl cancelled. Was to be played this evening. UCLA having 'rona issues on defensive side of the ball.
 
Another targeting. My mania pick is Auburn but now rooting for Houston. We see the events differently. He might be an emotional leader and we certainly need that. I guess from the previous rules which were go directly to jail and now it is ok to be a cheerleader just does not seem right to me.

UH just scored to go ahead late in 4th quarter. Color analyst bitching that UH tackle or TE held against Auburn. They have replayed it 3 times. I can’t see one. Both of the UH players released their grip on the player’s chest (not the shoulder pad) as soon as the defensive player’s head is past the OL shoulder pads. Anyone else shaking their heads?

I had tagged Cougar High to win, but there was not enough meat on the bone to bet the game before I left Vegas...line stayed at UH +2 with a ML of +115 all week long. I just didn't envision Auburn having the motivation, even with a game in their back yard. Meanwhile, I am sure Cougar High had aspirations of a better bowl, what with them having gone 8-0 and 11-2.

A secondary concern was the last-minute cancellations we are seeing. I didn't want money locked up on a game that didn't go as scheduled.
 
Coming from a military family I am biased, but I love seeing the academies succeed on the field. It’s a great thing for college football, and I always smile when I see their interviews - well spoken, respectful, and class. I’m an Army brat so I root for them the most, but love seeing them all do well.

The little I saw of the game, at a late lunch, showed Louisville struggling to maintain a disciplined assignment D, but their very fast LBs and Ss had great closing speed that made up for it a bit. AF’s OC was calling a really good game, and their QB was executing.
