OTHER GAMES

ISU D did well. Purdy not so good. Losing Hall didn’t help though.
Concur about both D and Purdy. And, BTW...what was that poor effort at a spike that led to the quick score by Clemson D...I have seen 6th grade volleyball teams do a better job at a spike.

No idea why he would spike it up and out instead of down at his feet...

Yeah that was a bizarre play. Ball batted by defense in the air and he (Purdy) tried to knock it down, only to knock it all the way to a defender.

Creek makes a point. I have been to nearly every bowl game Texas has played in for many many years. Yes the big ones are exciting
But game day at even a crappie bowl is fun and as you tailgate or make your way to stadium for that time it is the most important game in the world.

All right, what’s up with Purdue having a Big Bertha-like drum?
They have had that for a long time...in fact, they got pissy when Notre Dame changed the rules on how bands could enter the field, effectively removing the drum from being used in that game.

Watching these games, and I admit OU was exemplary of this, I am feeling that we definitely have a system/culture - something inherent problematic within our program. I say this because I see kids on these teams that feel like they can and will win. It’s effort or just desire I do not really know how to say it but it’s the spirit we all witnessed in the second half of the RRS this year when watching the Sooners you just knew they were coming back. Call me a downer if you will but this is what I do not see among my Longhorns. God love em but I really don’t see the same intense confidence and fire in my boys as I see in a lot of these other teams.
Off season moaning? Maybe, but just sick to see some of these teams in Bowls while we sit at home. That and I stilllll can’t believe we lost to Kansas - no matter how often my wife says “it’s done get over it”.

Purdue's big drum dates back to 1921. In 1922 the University of Chicago commissioned C.G. Conn Ltd. to construct their big drum (which of course become our beloved Big Bertha in 1955).

Purdue is having a drop down on almost every play. If the rule was the player could not come in for that series they would be no defense left.

I've lost a lot of respect for Brohm, but then I shouldn't have expected anything less from a former Loserville player. Of course, the ACC officiating crew has giftwrapped this game for Purdue.

AND TEX a reason to keep " meaningless " bowl games
Back to Creeks point ANYONE think all those that are there aren't GLAD to be there
