OTHER GAMES

Tennessee got robbed on a bad call. Purdue takes advantage and wins in a walk off FG in OT.
Fun game to watch.
I think it was defensible that the ref had called forward progress had been stopped. The RB should have extended the ball earlier.

The Vols got jobbed.

Tennessee got robbed on a bad call.

These ACC officials made numbers of questionable calls against Tennessee - like 15+. The runner's knee never touched and he was driving over the defender. That was reminiscent of the old Percy Penn call against Baylor.

Josh's play calling is beyond questionable. If you have no interest, it was the most entertaining bowl game yet. Unfortunately, I hate Purdue worse than I hate either OU or A&M.

Yes the Vols got jobbed, but they have no one to blame but Huepel. Poor play calling in the 4th and horrendous clock management. Poor play calling in OT.

Just like Mackovic, wait til 20 sec left in the game to start using 3 time outs when you're throwing the ball. Then be left with 2 TO when the clock reads 0:00. Had Heupel called TO on that run before the 1st down they coulda had at least 2, maybe 3 more plays to get closer for the FG. Suits Huepel right, can't stand the gooner anyway.

There was no whistle, and he'd only been at a complete stop for about half a second. If that's sufficient, then at least a dozen plays every game are called wrongly by not calling them dead sooner.

There are plenty of plays every season where a turnover was NOT called because forward motion had been stopped.

The sideline ref waved his hands and rushed toward the ball as soon as the player’s forward momentum had been stopped. The ref was on his way there when the tenn back reached his arm out.

If you watch the replay, for a brief moment, the Tennessee back was pulled backwards before he pulled forward for a little and then extended his arm. The back being pulled back briefly was the trigger for the ref to stop the play.

Everyone hates the commercial breaks but I also hate when they come back from commercial break just in time for the start of next play.

Pitt v Mich St is a real nail biter.

21-16 Pitt. MSU driving in Pitt territory. 3 minutes left. ESPN.

TD Michigan State. They’re going for two. Got it. 24-21 Mich State. But they left Pitt almost 3 minutes on the clock.

Beville—the 3rd team QB is in for Pitt. Not the most mobile guy on the planet. But he’s making some throws.
