huisache is fun to read most of the time. He isn't a partisan hack; from what I have gathered he respects statesmen of any stripe, and despises cheap politicians of any stripe. I respect that.
Too bad there are almost no statesmen left in DC. I'd like to see him defending somebody instead of always leveling acerbic attacks.

I’m tempted to say “name them” but that would be my over the top cynical side.
It may well be the number is in fact zero.
I really can't think of anything that Biden has done that qualifies as an accomplishment and much that can be seen as failures, starting with his choice of vice president. But unlike those who sign up for membership in a personality cult, I don't think that the presidency is a zero sum game------you can have two presidents in a row from different parties and both of them can be horrible.
I haven't seen a lot of democrats around here defending Chance the Gardener or singing his praises. I don't know of any democrats who think they turned up a good president when they voted for him-----they just thought that President Bone Spurs, the draft dodging serial adulterer narcissist moron needed to go. I did not vote for their alternative but agreed that Florida Man needed to go.
Hopefully, both parties will come up with more suitable alternatives in 2024, though I have my doubts. Hard to see how we could be presented with worse choices than the last few.

Also, Military band did not play hail to the chief, inauguration was on a blue carpet not red. Inauguration was a couple minutes AFTER noon on 1/20/21.

Finally, only the commander in chief can federalize the national guard. Washington DC is a Foreign territory (ie. Puerto Rico, Guam). So only CIC can send them to DC. National Guard is US only, unless they are Federalized by the CIC. Military Code!

Neither one is them was particularly heroic or accomplished. Both dodged the draft, had affairs, and embellished / lied about their history.
But all that went out the window when the media Democrat complex convinced the voting public that none of that mattered when a draft dodging, adulterous, lying Clinton ran against two true war heros and honorable men in H Bush and Dole.
Not my choice but if those are the new rules, where only a candidates' polices count, and not their background, so be it. Just don't clutch your pearls and look for a fainting couch when when I vote for and put into office the same type of candidate, who'll implement my polices.

Last week, the Democrats, who comprise a majority on the committee, all voted down the proposal. Democrats are not only uninterested in a fuller explanation but are actively blocking attempts to secure one. The committee meeting video shows they offered scant explanation for aiding the IRS's cover-up other than citing a private briefing the IRS gave to some committee members (while still refusing to provide the memorandum).
The Democrats look like they are aiding an IRS protection racket. Their assistance with the IRS’s whitewash comes on the heels of their forcing through Congress, with no Republican support, a law providing $80 billion in additional money to the tax agency, largely to hire 87,000 more agents. Of those new agents, 14 times as many are to be assigned to enforcement, meaning punishing taxpayers, as those assigned to help-desk assistance for taxpayers who see nine of every 10 of their phone calls to the agency go unanswered.
And don’t be fooled: The past IRS practice of auditing poor families at five times the rate of everyone else will surely continue, specifically because Democrats insist on it. When Sen. Mike Crapo (R-ID) offered an amendment to prohibit the new IRS money from being used for auditing taxpayers with incomes below $400,000, Democrats torpedoed his motion. It died in a 50-50 tie (51 votes needed for passage), with every single Democrat voting not to focus extra audits on the superwealthy.

I have far more respect for dedicated leftists who just say "I wanted gun confiscation, 37 week abortions, the tits and dicks cut off 12 year-olds, no border with Mexico, huge deficit spending, and trade agreements that outsource jobs but benefit big companies, most of which donate to the Democrat party, so I didn't like Trump".
I disagree with all those polices, but at least they're honest about what they didn't like about Trump. But this fainting couch "oooo can you believe what he just said! It's the meaniest thing ever" that both Democrats, and worse, the Mittens/Paul Ryan/Bush family/Bill Kristol wing of Republican party, just shows you what frauds GOP Inc. really is.
