Of course! How are conservatives still acting surprised about this! This is why I have no faith in the Republican Party or center right type people. The Left has been doing this since the 1960s. Marcuse wrote Repressive Tolerance which said that Leftist violence is GREAT but right wing violence is INJUSTICE. He was the thought leader of the New Left, "Free Speech Movement", and the Hippies. But "conservatives" still act like there are rules to the culture war and there is a market of ideas and the best ideas win.
