For Real ....Herman “IS” Done!!!

Well, coming from a dumbass perspective, one would think that if TH was DEFINITELY the head coach for 2021, they would have that statement prepared and released by now.

"To address the rumors of a head coaching blah blah blah..."

But, nothing.
Let me see if I can give CDC some help:

“It has come to my attention, primarily as the result of extraordinarily insightful input from an outstanding and groundbreaking forum about Texas Football known as Hornfans, that there may be a concern about the ambiguous manner in which I — following the end of the regular season — provided a clarification as to the status of our esteemed and beloved head football coach, an individual known as Tom Herman.

Now let me make this crystal clear: Tom Herman was our Head Coach at the end of the regular season, and last night he was our head coach as well. In fact, those of you who may have watched the Alamo Bowl on television — the game in which, inexplicably, our outstanding freshman running back, a young man named Bijan, hardly touched the ball even though the other team exhibited an inability to tackle him — may have seen Herman on the Texas sideline. Let me assure you, that was no imposter. That indeed was Tom Herman.

Now, therefore, it is resolved and let it be written in the archives of The University of Texas that Tom Herman remains and unequivocally “is” the head football coach of the University of Texas.

Again and to use terms that might be foreign to a Hornfans contributor known as SabreHorn, Herman is officially and certifiably our head coach.

Let me end on this note: Tom Herman will continue to be our head coach until he isn’t our head coach.

Thank you for your attention.”

Wait what is this about Brian Kelly & people dying?

Also... crooked hips, sciatica, & a herniated L1. One time I simply sneezed & threw my back out. I could not get out of bed for 12 hours until my then GF drove in from out of town to help me to the restroom. All of that and only 46 years old. The future is bright!
Fml.

Operating at 100% effiency. Unlike my 65 year old back.
Trade u a 73 year old back with 3 bulging discs for yours

just wait until you are suddenly 75!!!

Perhaps a change is coming, but maybe it's at the AD position?

We have a lot of ranked teams right now.
Hard to fire the AD with this record --

Football will finish ranked in the top 20
Mens BBall is in the top 10 (for the first time since Barnes)
Volleyball is #1
Womens Swimming is #1
Mens Swimming is #2 (I think)
Baseball is preseason top 15
Softball was #1 when the season ended (currently #6)
Mens Tennis is currently #4 (ITA)
Womens Tennis is currently #4 (ITA)
In men's golf, junior Cole Hammer just won a US amateur tournament by 5 strokes (the men's team finished last season #4 overall)
In women's golf, senior Kaitlyn Papp just finished as "Low Amateur" in THE US Open (the girls' team is top 20 overall)

edit - left off women's BBall which is also in the top 20

What would help more is doctor's in Tennessee getting past this opioid "crisis" horse ****. First got a prescription 20 years ago in Texas. Moved to Nashville 3 years ago to be closer to family and magically doctor in Texas didn't know what he was talking about. All 3 bulging discs confirmed by MRI notwithstanding.

IDE,

You might ask the doctors if the Boston Scientific implant device would help you. Supposed to have a 96% success rate.

I agree some new mids and highs might do some good....and one can never have too much Bass...especially when dealing w back issues.

I am not sure how many people Oklahoma was missing for last night's game but Florida was definitely decimated with missing players and that had an effect on the final score.
I certainly believe that if each team had all their starters in the game that Oklahoma would have won anyway.
One thing is for certain that the red River shootout next year is going to be a game. OU is looking very formidable. It wouldn't be surprising to me if Oklahoma finishes the regular season undefeated but I don't know their schedule.
We will go into the game as underdogs for certain but we do have the talent to beat them but things have to go right.

OU has Tulane Western Carolina Nebraska 1st 3 games then Big 12 9 games

If your team opts out— that is on the coach. To solve it, recruit more character not 40 times. They need to put it in legal docs when they offer scholarships that if you opt out you owe the University $$.
But if you recruit a bunch of prima donnas and quitters then that is what you are gonna get.
UT opts out made the team better when they left. Herman worked that very well in the bowl.

Maybe he’ll learn and go more hard *** and pull starters out next year for ******** talk and or quitting on plays. But probably not.

There is solid ground to charge Kelly with 3rd degree manslaughter. Of course the DA there wouldn’t dare.
Ok you baited me and I read a linked story.
1–ND holds a practice in high wind in 2010. A lift platform with a trainer kid on it, watching or filming, blows over in a freak accident and he dies. As to Kelly, that’s a nothing.
2–a ND player is alleged to have assaulted a girl from another college. She commits suicide. He denies any assault. When the story comes forth, Kelly allegedly told the guy not to speak out or say anything. So, not sure what Kelly did wrong here. “Coach, a crazy girl has been saying I groped her and now I hear she OD’d on drugs. Should I be making a statement and denying this?” “No.”

Oklahoma finishes the regular season undefeated but I don't know their schedule.
Non-Big XII Schedule: Tulane, Western Carolina, Children of the Corn. They will be averaging 60 points a game going into Big XII play. My guess of Texas being a 14+ point dog in October stands.

Character gets you so far. At the HS ranks, it'll get you deep into the playoffs, especially at some 4A/5A schools. Or a nice Commander-in-Chief's trophy if you play for a service academy.

We've entered the era of college football where there are always going to be NFL/transfer optees, and not just at Texas. And also not just for teams that don't qualify for the "good" bowl games. I think we'll start to see it at the CFP level sooner rather than later. And that's when we're going to have to blow up the NCAA system and change it.

I wasn't implying CDC would be fired, perhaps a change of his choosing.
