Perhaps an old Saban is a forward looking slot that UM has his eyes on?The only "whale" left in the coaching sea is Dabo and he'd be a fool to come. He's a legend and set for life in S.C. Saban is too old now. There's nobody.
We made our bed with Herman (and paid him plenty) and now we're stuck with him.
When you Google A$$hole Jeff Fisher is first on the list.We can agree on who it cannot be
(this is one of the names I heard)

This^^^^^is why I said what I said above....and a few predictably disagreed.I guess Meyer realized this wasn’t worth the hassle. Probably remembers Gator alums drove him sick and Texas would be worse.
Darrell Lovell (I know, I know) but anyway, Darrell Lovell says Campbell, Whittingham, Allen or Sarkisian all make sense
Or, make a run at Brian Kelly (who he says is underpaid at ND) or Dan Mullen.
Is Bowelsby still in the witness protection program? No sighting in many moons Kemosabe. Not even close. CDC doesn’t grab his ankles every time Bowelsby calls. The way Littlepage did for Swofford. UVA was the ACC’s butt boy
Here is a list of potentially available college coaches
Can't believe Scott Frost and The Pirate are already on the hot seat.
Nebraska screwed the pooch when they fired Frank Solich. He went 9-4, 12-1, 10-2, 11-2, 7-7, 9-3 at Nebraska and they sacked him. They haven't been worth a damn since.
,,, Bo Pelini ...
I’d rather have Herman for ten years than Kelly for ten minutes
...Among the many issues, and there are many, is the amount of "leaking." Whether it comes agents, admin types, the paysites or the BMDs themselves, every time we try to do something, it becomes a giant clusterfrack.
And people need to realize.. ou is set for a real strong next handful of years....2019-2021 was our window to take back some groundIf they keep Herman, next year will be even worse. He will have gotten away with the summer controversy and survived a ****** season considering he supposedly had the talent to maybe be undefeated and in the playoff hunt. Instead, another loss to TCU and OU as well as whoever else they lost to.
What incentive is there for him to do better and lose the arrogance?
I dont know if you guys follow baseball much but, a couple years ago, we screwed up our search for a new baseball coach so bad that we effectively got large raises for colleges coaches across the country. We are the bull in the china shop
At least we'll always have that field goal on themI guess some with in the administration have gotten their wish. Texas football is now the Virginia Cavaliers.
Orangebloods brain trust thinks that it's Urban or Herman and they have a good point. If not Urban, who could we all agree on? Certainly not any of the names I've heard so far; Campbell, Crystobal (sp?), Franklin, etc. They're all just Stong/Herman v03 - one season wonders with no long term record of success.
It will cost $15 million to buy out Herman, $24 million to buy out Herman and all coaches, plus the buyout on whatever coach we would hire! Oh and of course, the new elevated salary and long term contract on the new coach. For that kind of dough, you gotta be sure. That cost could approach half the cost of more of the south endzone expansion.
