Good point. I had forgotten. We won’t know anything until at least Dec 1 (Tuesday) when the buyout goes down
I now call him Menses, because it's like UT has been on the rag during his tenure. In Spanish..... Menso, masculine of Mensa, means - Stupid, Dumb.
Doesn't he have a full beard nowDo we know when this was taken?
Not interested in Riley. If we're cutting Herman loose, do it now. early signing is in what, two weeks? I dislike Urban Meyer but if he wants the job, get him. If he doesn't, dangle $12 million per for 8 years in front of Lincoln Riley and get him. (I know, won't happen). But it kills two birds with one stone--cripples OU and elevates UT.
#oneword:MENSAExactly, If only we would run a standard qb sneak and utilize a TE more, would have won the game today and probably most of the other games the past 4 years. Our style of play in critical situations invites these types of losses. These are the easiest changes to make and it hasn't been addressed most of the last 10 years.
I don't think there is any way Campbell would be worse. He is a better coach. The guy gets a hell of a lot out of his players. He's young, smart, and seems like a stand up guy.Very true, but unless Suburban has signed on the dotted line it could end up worse. We thought we had to get rid of Mack. Look what happened. Satan nor Big nose ain't coming. Are we damn sure Campbell, Fleck, Napier, etc. can be successful at Texas? There's a lot more politics here than any other place. Yes, we know what we got, but the unknown certainly can be worse.
Sure it is. Best talent in the Big 12 (that was the consensus*), a rebuilding OU and we lose three (so far) and luck out wins at Stillwater and Lubbock.Urban Meyer is only going to come out of retirement and coach where he can win. Right now that isn't Texas.
ER,Tom said San Antonio is nice in December
Well we certainly know about the other stuff going on on the campus this year. It must be very obvious to the recruits that this team is split. Hopefully Tom will be fired and the malcontents leave or graduate. Then maybe we can get a new coach and players that will represent this University and State. I cant blame any recruit that does not want to come to to this mess. From someone in Dallas at a HS game today:
“Sitting at a Dragon football game behind Quinn Ewers folks. He was telling me that Urban has a standing offer at UT. He also said his son decommitted for several reason. Uncertainty in the longevity of the coaching staff was part of it, but he said there was “stuff” going on at UT that he couldn’t discuss that weighed heavily on bond decision. We had the UT game on our phones. Might be Herman’s Swan song.”
Probably, but as they say, you just never know. I don't see him as being as much of a sure thing as Urban. Plus, would he even want to come to Texas? He's not a Texan. Maybe UM, OSU, ND are his dream job, who knows. Kelly isn't getting any younger and Harbough may be worse than TH.I don't think there is any way Campbell would be worse. He is a better coach. The guy gets a hell of a lot out of his players. He's young, smart, and seems like a stand up guy.
Not saying he should be our next coach, but he is a better coach than what we have now. Then again, that's not saying a lot. Lots of coaches are better on the field and on the recruiting trail than herman.
Urban Meyer is only going to come out of retirement and coach where he can win. Right now that isn't Texas.
So now that we are playing for nothing does anyone else think players like Overshown, Ossai and Cosmi opt out the rest of the season so they won't risk injury and get prepared for the draft??
The Kansas teams and a 4th tier bowl.
So we go 1-1 to finish then the Alamo Bowl?
Disagree. We have superior talent now, but not being developed. great opportunity to put a bug in these 5 stars ears, then coach crap out of them. Like Urban or ñor not, he has the rings for a reason.Urban Meyer is only going to come out of retirement and coach where he can win. Right now that isn't Texas.
