For Real ....Herman “IS” Done!!!

Meanwhile back at the Herman residence

Well, what if we finish 2-0 and then win a bowl game? That's 8-3 for the season and 4 winning seasons with 4 bowl wins. I know it's not probable, just a what-if scenario. How about 7-4 after a bowl win or loss? I would think 6-5 is goodbye to TH.....
It's already goodbye to TH. There is no possible way to salvage the 2022' recruits with this current coaching staff. Expect some 21' recruits to bail as it is.

I haven't read the whole thread since the game ended, so forgive if this is redundant.

That was putrid! Three weeks to get ready and THAT'S what you bring!?!?!?
The two fourth down failures alone were grounds for dismissal.

If money was no object, I'd say Herman would be gone. If winning is what it takes to turn recruiting around, it will almost a year before we see real evidence of that. The only thing that can be done is either believe in Herman for the long run, meaning he's growing on the job (smacks of Jerry Jones believing Jason Garrett was growing on the job) or make a huge move now.

She is very deep in on inside knowledge as many of her Texas friends are big money donors. Just know they are completely done with Herman and it's very very likely Urban Meyer will be the new head coach for a lot of money at that.

Herman is gone. If there was any doubt, there shouldn’t be now.

As others have pointed out, because apparently the buyout drops 12/1, a change probably won’t be announced until Tuesday. Unlike previous years, due to the early signing period, Texas simply cannot afford to wait — even if the optics aren’t optimum. This is true particularly if it’s Meyer...announcing quickly.

Like others, I have my concerns about UM but am in that camp regardless. But unlike others, I am not convinced that Meyer is our only option. (Long term I really like Campbell. Lots of positives.) But yes, to win now, Meyer is the right choice.

I want Urban. My double wish is that he saves our program as head coach and hand picks his successor ala Ryan Day. We would then be set for the next 15 years ....

I Fancy is saying he’s gone then I trust she knows...

Just for clarification. The Alamo Bowl does not get assigned teams. After the CFP teams are selected the Alamo Bowl gets first choice of the remaining teams in the P12 and B12. They can pick any team from that pool.

Meyer is another arrogant Mackovic who has not coached in how many years, with no connections to Texas.
Get some younger promising coach who will make us proud off the field also.

Great, let's spend the next century as the experiment capital of the NCAA, wasting three years at a time while paying the idiot for five years instead of three. Not even Aggies are that ******* dumb.

I'm so very tired of the coach merry-go-round the last 10 years. Who is THE BEST available existing or former coach of a very successful program we can (limiting my verbs & adjectives) get!!?

GO GET HIM!!!

What we need is another knee jerk hire of a "name" who couldn't care less about UT, unless you again pay him too much money, piling up the Athletic Department debt when it is already in the red due to covid.

Believe it or not, Aggy IS a factor in all of this. Their migration east has finally started paying off in the W column. We're not going to hire a project coach after they broke the bank on Jimbo. I wholeheartedly expect UM to be the next coach.

I get it, UM has a lot of baggage and some undesirables. In the end I don't think UT will allow CDC to pick him. I could be wrong.

So, outside of existing coach Dabo and Campbell of ISU can you suggest anyone existing or up and coming UT can realistically get?

The shelf is limited...
