Cotton Bowl: Horns-Buckeyes Game Thread

Texas had chances and could have won this game. Coaches did not put the players in the best position to win. Defensive call before the half. That last series inside the two are just the biggest examples.

IMO, Buckeyes won, but by having two TDs given to them.

Proud of my Horns, though. Like Bum said, we banged on the door last two years & next year we’ll kick the sob in.

Folks, I’m not a sunshine pumper. I love the Longhorns and in August if you would’ve told me we would’ve lost in the quarterfinals. I would’ve smiled at that time at that time. Remember, the SEC was supposed to roll us. We got to the SEC championship we got to the final four yes, we lost And I’m fully aware of that.

Ewers can't handle pressure. How many sacks did he have in this game that were his fault?

Three I think. OL was at fault for a couple but he ran towards the defender on several of them, a defender that otherwise wasn't likely to get to him. DL was like a fisherman about to toss the hook into the water and then the fish just leaps right into the boat instead.

I'm not sure Sark is developing the QB past the RPO, playaction stuff. It seems to be a single read passing game. if you ask ewers to go past his 1st read, he hesitates and doesn't process mentally fast enough.

I hope Manning is faster mentally
