I listened to a conversation between a doc and a pharmacist about it relating to the back order. Then a med school roommate called my head doc inquiring about it. I feel about the med about like the regular medical community does. In a hospital setting when things are not good, give it a shot. To quote the president, "what have you got to lose"? The first study I read on it a few weeks ago, the outcomes were varied. Two patients couldn't tolerate it. Two died. 6 got better. The last one I read today was not peer reviewed but I can say looks like it could be promising. That said, prophylactic use seems way off the reservation.Bubba?
And what does that have to do with the evolution of HCQ?
That you do not know the history does not change the history
Who is this "they "?
Anyone who gets a PM that they think is out of line, let me know.I got a PM from a poster who told me to piss off.
LH
I guess I miss your point.Do you think the poster who pmed me with insult was someone who no longer posted publically?
Saying you do not want people to know you "sully yourself" by posting on HF is comical.
I agree with this. How prevalent is that, and if it is prevalent, how are these people getting a prescription for HCQ?That said, prophylactic use seems way off the reservation.

Leading up to the U.S. presidential election, Hawking was cheekily asked on "Good Morning Britain" whether he could explain Trump's rise to presidential candidacy.
"He's a demagogue who seems to appeal to the lowest common denominator."
Hes a liberal. Hes only generous with other peoples money.Btw is there a reason you will not help Dion with a donation?
You know Dion does not get government money?
I don’t think people in NYC were going to comply like the Koreans.
I think we've done pretty good with social distancing. The issue with that chart is that it's going to take time for it to wash across this large country. Skinny jeans got to eastern oklahoma, it just took longer.
We have the most testing, which I was told previously that we don’t.As of today, more than 30% of the worlds known active Covid19 cases are Americans.
1,936,700 cases worldwide
587,173 are Americans
I believe that quote is not unreasonable. It doesn't account for all of his support but it does account for a significant amount.IF the Hawking quote is accurate, it just shows the elitist, liberal, academia egghead, ******* *******, out of touch attitude they have toward the rest of the country.
He could literally gun down someone on 5th Avenue and not suffer any consequences. He said it, effectively, and it's true.I believe that quote is not unreasonable. It doesn't account for all of his support but it does account for a significant amount.
Folks, just call five pharmacies — any five you want, anywhere in the US. Then please report back. I’m telling you, availability is very tight.I am corrected in the issue of HCQ not being available for lupus patients.
I still can't find any reports on Google or Bing of anyone actually not being able to get a refill in time
I do see anecdotal reports of people being worried there will be a shortage and that is a valid concern.
There are 50 million doses coming from India and as many as seven different USA pharmaceutical companies have agreed to mass produce as much as 250 million doses by mid-April.
Hopefully availability will ease the real anxiety by people who are taking this for lupus and arthritis As well as having it for use with Covid19

I got a PM from a poster who told me to piss off. Part of the message was the poster did not know HCQ 's first use was for malaria. Most of the diatribe was concerning lupus patients not realizing that using HCQ for lupus likely came from off label treatment just like it will for Covid.
I am tempted to post it here. There is no need to use such language or insult me privately. Have the cajones to do it in public. Saying you do not want people to know you "sully yourself" by posting on HF is comical.
