I think that was Jonathan Karl. I didn’t notice AcoASSta today.Acosta asked several time who produced the vid and who paid for it
Gotta defend Bubba on this one.Bubba
How convenient. There are zero reports off Google search that any patient needing HCQ could not get the med
But You Bubba know of a pharmacy in Ok who according to you says they have no HCQ meds to give to patients who need them
But you can't give the name of the commercial company.

Thanks. If a patient thinks something is helping them they don't hear "you've got enough built up in your system" well.Gotta defend Bubba on this one.
I researched the availability of HCQ & also chloroquine pretty extensively about three weeks ago. (Perhaps availability has improved, but I doubt it.)
At that time, not only did no Costco, CVS, Walgreens or Rite-Aid pharmacy close to me in SoCal not have any, but my search included pharmacies in other parts of the country like Leon Springs, TX. I found none, and they all told me that they didn’t know when the med would be available.
Let me add that my somewhat extensive search included México — yes, I have connections — and again, we found almost none, and that was at least four weeks ago. (In México it’s over the counter.) They found one or two boxes in Cozumel.
I haven’t kept up with all of the posts but if Bubba is expressing concern for Lupus patients, according to one of the leading authorities on the subject, Dr. Daniel Wallace of Cedars Sinai, Lupus patients — if they struggle to locate HCQ, can (to paraphrase the doctor) go 2-3 months if necessary without the med because of the levels that have built up in their system.
True. But let’s assume — just for arguments sake — that indeed Lupus and RA patients are struggling to secure the medication. If the decision is to jeopardize access for “20 to 150 cases per 100,000” for the possibility of helping 500 to 1,000 cases per 100,000 — and probably save many lives, what would you do? It’s a no brainer for me.Thanks. If a patient thinks something is helping them they don't hear "you've got enough built up in your system" well.

I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt simply because of the realities that 1) shortages of ANY drug can occur, especially if it is a smaller pharmacy and 2) I've seen shortages of opioids during spikes in the faux outrage that shows up in the media from time to time.Bubba

Austin is sliding further into the grips of tyranny. Today they extended the shut in declaration through May 8 and added the requirement that anyone over 10 must where a face covering. It was a little unclear if it is required at any place outside, but mentions when outside getting gas. Mayor Adler states that if people don't follow the order willingly he will start mean of enforcement.
Gone 20 years and don't miss it one tiny bit.Glad I don't live in Travis Co. anymore.
She'd rather die. And that would do the world well.
I’m starting to think some of these liberals want civil unrest. They are unlikely to be able to totally destroy the economy if the quarantine lifts April 30, so need one other option to try to oust Trump.Austin is sliding further into the grips of tyranny. NYTimes has the emails. Brace yourselves, Trumpsters.
This aged well. LOL!
Travis County has finally gotten enough California transplants that the city has become "The Peoples Republic of Austin"
I did some reading on the topic. I can say that there appears to be some promise with this treatment. It appears that there are some serious studies being undertaken now. The one I read seemed more like a battlefield study and that's an appropriate way to perform it during an outbreak. I think it would have a shot of being more accepted by the medical community if the Surgeon General or Dr. Fauci were discussing it. Also, they should highlight the "potential" as opposed to the promise.True. But let’s assume — just for arguments sake — that indeed Lupus and RA patients are struggling to secure the medication. So HCQ is unproven you say? At what point is overwhelming anecdotal data no longer “anecdotal?”

is Austin seeing big increases in people infected and dying?
There's a quasi-working theory here that we had some of it way early. There was a flu that was negative for A and B this season. Once the antibody testing is available we'll know for sure or at least be able to disprove that thought. I'm not sure that I buy that the virus circled around eastern Oklahoma and didn't make it to Dallas or Tulsa.No. Cases still under 1000 of a population of 1.3 million. Austin never really got started to be honest. Part of that is the wise decision to cancel SXSW and the relatively early start to the quarantining. It hit NY and Houston first, so Austin didn't ever get too far up the curve.
