The article mentioned how the vaxx went from preventing infection to preventing serious illness, which we know affects certain populations more than others. It did not spell out however the logical conclusion then that most young folks don’t need a vaccine to prevent serious illness.
I'm 53 almost.
You are in good health and was previously exposed before the vaccine was available if I recall. You are low risk.
The point of the article was that there are many reasons why folks did not take the vaccine. I highlighted one of them above (the sliding protection that the vaccine provided).I thought we were on the same page, just making sure.

A vax for Emergency Use, tested to phase 1 of 3 normal test levels, just killed a good friends wife on Friday. I attended her funeral today.
To be brief Tracy was 55, good health and put off the vax until 2 weeks ago, for some reason.
Got the jab, developed several bloods clots and one went to her heart within 2 weeks of the vax. EMS got to her home pretty fast but could not save her.
Disgusting and terribly sad.

Damn. Sorry man. The government is starting to be exposed for what we all know. Maybe the vaccine is mostly safe, but some will suffer from it.
Well, it is safe for some, vax saved some lives, slowed the virus. Many of you got the vax - no problem. I get it.
However it was / is a roll of the dice for others. I dont judge anyone's choice to vax or not. It's your risk / choice.
The risk: what if YOU, a loved one or friend had a negative reaction, as many have had - and will never be the same - or worse, DIED from the vax.
I criticize and resent the Federal Government for being heavy-handed. For mandating an Emergency Use vax or else.
