Coronavirus

Ha... that's funny.

You can't conceive of the possibility? You don't think many of the unvaccinated folks now in the hospital were self-styled freedom loving personal responsibility types of Conservatives?
I asked for a specific instance of someone taking “public” healthcare who is preaching personal responsibility. There are many conservatives and liberals who have been hospitalized with Covid. There are also people hospitalized with heart disease, cancer and diabetes. Equating someone who makes a personal decision to not take an unproven vaccine is just stupid.

I have one:

What is a conservative who preaches personal responsibility, then wants public healthcare due to their poor choices?

I'm sure you can find examples of that. However, the amount of people who say that healthcare is a right and at the same time wishing death among the unvaccinated is much higher.

The mental midgets who railed against universal healthcare who were screaming at Obama to not touch their Medicare.

The people who were against Medicaid expansion and then try to file bankruptcy for their medical debt.

I'm not sure access to healthcare is a right. I do think healthcare is more effective when everyone has access to good prevention and basic stuff that universal coverage would offer. I wish nothing ill on anyone, even that nut Owens. To equate me giggling at her being denied care that she ridiculed with "wishing death on the unvaccinated" or highlighting that the unvaccinated are the reason that we can't have nice things is a little over the top. But, you're a horn, what am I left to expect.

I never accused you of wishing death on anyone. However, they are everywhere on the net.

Imagine someone in healthcare promoting the denying of healthcare as something good or funny. Then backing it up with support or humor for aborting babies. Today’s democrat party.
Also, I'd like to point out that I extended my thoughts AND my prayers to Ms. Owens.

You could argue that an unhealthy person who dies of covid because they are unvaccinated are likely saving public health dollars in the long run.

I don’t know if it was intentional but you completely avoided my point. The article you linked to was about people taking the livestock treatment. That’s not even relevant to my point. Anybody going into tractor supply company and buying a horse treatment and ingesting it themselves is an idiot. But again not relevant to my point which is that it is intellectually dishonest to keep presenting Ivermectin in the media as if the only version of it is the livestock treatment. It’s an incredibly helpful drug for people and has been recognized as such particularly in the treatment of viral infections.

Doesn't that depend on how long they sit in ICU before departing? Pre-vaccine, my FIL spent 2 months in the Covid ward in ICU before finally pulling the plug. Medicaid picked up the tab but I can only imagine the cost of those 2 months.

It's like these people don't seem to realize that human dosages are much smaller than a horse or a cow's dosage. Good way to cook your liver. Go get what you need from a doctor.

It's likely not just the livestock supply but the studies to date require much more than the recommended dosage of Ivermectin. These people calling into poison lines could be taking actual Ivermectin at levels that have been deemed unsafe, because that's what the lone study which inconclusively showed some effect did.

There have been plenty of studies proving ivermectin to be effective as an antiviral. Even noted as a “wonder drug” in one of the links I included. You’ll have to forgive me if I am skeptical of running new studies today to determine whether or not a proven and inexpensive antiviral drug is effective against a virus that is making Big Pharma billions of dollars.

Read the nondoc rundown on it. Pretty fair.

I could by it to treat some symptoms. I think as a phrohylactic is where the liver damage comes in.

But this would make you an idiot taking cow medicine, right? Or have you actually learned something in the past week and changed your little mind?

Yep, agree. I would not take it as part of a regular regimen “Just in case”. I am definitely just thinking in terms of treatment if you get the virus. Take it for a few days to see if you are someone that it will help and if it does no good you’re back off of it. But if it helps that’s great.

It's just the flu. She should have just quarantined herself and moved on like tough people here do.
I was wrong when I said that but I didn’t know it was a man made virus. But your leaders continue to protect China as long as they get rich doing so. Send 10% to the big sleepy guy.

Dude, you’re one of many who called it the flu. I wasn’t calling you out specifically, as salty as you’ve been today. Traffic must have been rough this morning. :)

Capitalism. Cake bakers get to select who they serve. Right?
So you are comparing a separation of church and state issue with an idiot that is probably violating their nightingale oath so she can make a childish political statement, and in doing so potentially putting others at risk of getting Covid?

Once again, you show why Oklahoma is the nation's leading douchebag exporter.

Tulsa’s two largest hospitals. 93% and 96% of hospitalized patients are unvaccinated. Staying higher than I thought it would stay. Hillcrest is at 100% ICU patients who are unvacced.
