The mayor of Champaign, Illinois issued an executive order giving herself the power to order the seizure of firearms, ammunition, alcohol and gasoline during the coronavirus pandemic. Her bio says she went to law school. I guess she slept through Con Law.

This is the exact kind of idiot managing locally not understanding the impact downstream of their actions. Expect a run on ammunition (actually already occurring) and liquor.

There once was a time Americans pulled together to fight out of crisis. Today, we blame others, protect our own interests and hide.

What sad times we live in.

I've heard many people say that we are headed for a Civil War. I'm guessing that is not too far in the future. Liberals vs. Conservatives. Liberals have flowers, Conservatives have guns. Should be a good war. :catfight:

Darwin was a genius. except we live in a society where we allow the gene pool to thin out into this crap. Maybe we are looking at this the wrong way, maybe the Corona Virus is what we need to thin the heard and get rid of the weak in the gene pool so the strong can keep going.

It's definitely a plague of biblical proportions. They have had 2 deaths so far. I wonder when they'll force people to have a flu vaccination to prevent the 1000 average annual deaths in Denmark. I also wonder how they're going to force people to get a vaccination that doesn't exist.

With so-called conservatives like him we don't need progressives. He'll waste his vote on some assclown libertarian in November who has no chance which accomplishes basically nothing except that it helps a democrat get into office. However, he can feel morally good and superior for doing that though.

In case you were wondering what else you might do -- I got one of these, arrived this weekend, everyone here is using it. Got mine via Amazon ($76) not QVC but they seemed to have to best video on it I could see
 
Interesting new dynamics going on.

My teenage son works at Best Buy and he said that due to the work from home push they quickly sold out of monitors, keyboards and mice. I imagine printers and scanners will go quickly as well.

We are seeing the biggest work from home experiment ever, and I suspect that when thing calm down a lot of companies will choose to stay with it. If so, that’s a big cost savings on office space, parking, commutes, etc.

I met with a new client this morning and we laughed about not shaking hands, maybe we will bump elbows next time. Hand shaking is actually a pretty bad idea anyway from a hygiene standpoint.
