Coronavirus

I have multiple clients with the same problem. The hysteria is harming patients in need. However, Trump has to be defeated at all cost.

We had a person at another one of our clinics who worked for ICE and he was symptomatic. He did not qualify for getting the test according to the state epidemiology department. Likely just flu but you never know with all of those dirty immigrants. :)
It is difficult to believe anything you post anymore.

Maybe we can help you rehab from your incessant lying, half truths, and misrepresentations that serve only to benefit the Big Lie that government and Libs are good. We will not attempt to improve your intelligence because ...well...that is a lost cause, but hopefully we can get you to the "functioning idiot" level.

Let's start your rehab with the basics. I'll post a couple questions and you provide the answers. If you can tell the truth, we can move on to more complicated (but not too complicated!) matters:
Fill in the blanks:
1) Today is Wednesday so tomorrow is ______________.
2) Texas doesn't fall into the ocean because Oklahoma - - - ks! (gave you a hint for morale purposes just in case you missed number 1).

I'm trying not to be political my friend. I guess the local doctor doesn't have strict requirements. She has a high deductible plan and went in. There. Is. No. Excuse. For. Not. Getting. Tested.

I’m guessing he was symptomatic of something other than CoronaVirus. No way they would pass on the test.

Largest single stock drop evah.
And yet we had the buying opportunities today with a hefty recovery...I got about $20K out of it. How was your day of buying and trading?

I'm actually looking forward to January of 2022 when a lot of the options I snagged for cheap are expiring...although I will likely have flipped them long before that point. I'll be content to flip XOM at $55-60 later this year instead of waiting almost two years even though I could probably make an extra $10-15 a share by then...

@mb227 Maybe you can answer this but why do people sell off so much during events like this? I mean if you hold equities in good companies isn’t it reasonable to assume they will remain good investments when things calm down?

I can only guess that they believe the idiots that try to tell them their dividends are going to go away...without paying attention to the fact that in other dips, the dividends often stayed at the same levels, meaning yield was actually increasing.

Automated trading does not help matters, but I suspect you get a lot of the small stake peeps that believe the world is imploding and tell their broker to unload EVERYTHING! IT ALL MUST GO! PRICE BE DAMNED! Meanwhile, those of us with funds kick back with a bottle of our favorite beverage(s) and buy the dips...

Or, alternately, do as I started doing and buying cheap option contracts on the dips. I mean geez...I was snagging XOM and RDS contracts for pennies across the past week. OK, several pennies...but a 2022 XOM call for 30 cents a share for a price the stock was just trading at two weeks ago is just outright stealing. RDS for something like 80 cents a share in the same situation...

The bargains are definitely out there for those who knew what to look for...

Yes. From same article:

“Despite vows to drastically expand the coronavirus testing regime, federal and state public health authorities have tested only 6,563 people for the coronavirus as of Tuesday morning, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and numbers provided by all 50 states.

South Korea, by contrast, has performed well over 100,000 tests. An analysis by Business Insider found that the U.S. lags badly behind other nations in the share of its population that has been tested (the analysis, however, appears to exclude people who were tested by state labs).

At the same time, public laboratories cannot be relied upon to carry the brunt of the testing burden. On the whole, Michelle Forman, a spokesperson for the Association of Public Health Laboratories, estimates that public laboratories will be able to test only 10,000 patients per day, and that is when all 100 facilities are running at full capacity.

The White House did not respond to a request for comment.“
CDC screwed up. They screwed up Ebola and they screwed up this time.

The clinic over reacted and went on lockdown and quarantined everyone for a few hours. Multiple nurses and a doc.

Yeah, I’m a liar. Piss off.

Perfect fit as an irrational liberal. “I will forfeit my savings as long as Trump isn’t President!” Well I hope your trailer is paid off.
A. If it's not on wheels anymore, it's not a trailer. So, yeah, my house is paid off. :)
B. Just like I don't live my life a quarter mile at a time, I also don't plan my life and around my 401(k) and use it as my only metric for how a government is doing. I'm but one starfish on a beach of many starfish. If the ocean goes away, all of the starfish are dead.
C. The picture Trump's guy Scavino tweeted out with Trump fiddling is very fitting and

I agree with you there.

Trump or the vigorous enforcement of our immigration laws?
Trump or the selection of Conservative Justices for SCOTUS?
Trump or executive orders signing international treaties?
Trump or executive orders over-riding existing law?
Trump or not slapping tariffs on China?

What is it? The tweets or would a nice, civil Republican with the exact same policies be a good President?

That he has to be defeated at all costs.

I have to say, I watched one of Pence's coronavirus press conferences and, while I disagree with him on many issues, it saddened me that we don't have someone who can talk in complete sentences without being a jackwagon.

Fair enough.

Bush was attacked too because of a lack of eloquence. It seemed that Reagan's ability to communicate didn't impress any Liberals. Not sure what to say about it all.
